Every single penny counts!

Morning sickness has not gone yet 12 weeks in 5 days and scan a week Tuesday so hopefully there will finally be some light then.
It's DDs birthday party a week today. Really looking forward to it.
Also half term isn.t far away which is also a plus.
Starting to think about maternity leave and affording time off work. We should be ok - again it will be tight but then I don't think it's ever the right time to have a baby and we have always managed. Would love to get both my credit cards paid off before the baby arrives....may need to sell the contents of my house though! Lol!
eBay selling is going really well and I am just waiting for the next burst of energy to get the next lot of things listed.
I also de cluttered the kitchen last week...my friends think it's hilarious as everything now has its place and EVERYTHING is in Tupperware boxes now! I am sad I know but u just love opening the cupboards to everything tidy.
Desperate to do some cakes for the children or name some bread but this little baby inside me is causing havoc with smells and I can't entertain the idea of baking at the moment
I did do my weekly shop last week for £75 for 4 of us at ASDA and managed to do shopitize also which I was pleased about. Like I keep saying - every penny counts!
The other positive at the moment is I now have envelopes for everything. Envelope for petrol money, food money, credit card payments and bills.
I'm trying to make sure I make a payment a day (after minimum payment has come out) towards my credit card debt....even if it's 50p... I just feel like my day is complete and I have made another little mini step to getting rid of debt. It's so easy to do it online too so I have no excuses really.LBM April 2014: Every Single Penny Counts

Uch - well at 2am I was in the out of hours doctor for a kidney infection!
Having to take a couple of days off work - which means losing some money as I'm self employed.
So up and down at the moment!
Anyway...3 things I am grateful for....
My mother taking me to the hospital last night and taking time off work today to take care of me.
My dad's regular 2 min phone calls checking I am ok.

Right then it's Monday again
12 week scan day tomorrow. It will be a relief when I know baby is well and we can start telling people. I'm ready to get excited
Got a little jar to start putting money into for the first debt we're tackling. The money I never seem to get around to putting in the bank and then it gets spent on other things! Well with my designated Kilner jar I am hoping to have a little more willpower.
I'm going on a hunt for money around the house! See what I find in the back go hubby's jeans!!LBM April 2014: Every Single Penny Counts

Yikes I haven't updated since Monday! Well Tuesday' scan was great - baby is doing well and growing. I'm starting to fe less sick so which is just completely amazing!
I've started thinking about maternity leave/pay etc. Everything is looking quite positive at the moment which is great.
I'm at 19% off my first debt - really motivating having a 100 square - each square representing 1% of the debt. I can deal with it better when I have everything broken down into manageable chunks!!
Hoping to be at 21% by Monday with a bit if extra work this weekend. My goal for next Sunday will be 30%. Onwards and upwards....got to destroy this debt!!LBM April 2014: Every Single Penny Counts

You're a few weeks behind me Gala, I'm just over 15 weeks now. Was also researching maternity and after weeping at how tiny it is, consoled myself about a likely tax rebate!
Well done on the debt busting, that's a decent target to set yourself for a week but I'm sure you can do it0% card was £1126.91 / Now £1502.37

ok so it's Monday evening and I'm at 23%
7% more to go by Sunday. The only thing about debt busting is I find myself wishing the time away.
Half term next week - looking forward to spending time with my munchkins. Lots of baking and walks in the park.LBM April 2014: Every Single Penny Counts

Right then - I have updated the signature - made it colourful!!!
£150 to go until I reach this week target which is good news. I should definitely be able to make that.
Had a mini panic again - have these quite regularly when I don't feel like I'm making progress!! Trying to take a step back and realise - I am on track - I just need to realise I won't be debt free by the end of the week! I just have the urge to sell the car, sell our rental property, flog everything I own on ebay just to be debt free and start again fresh! I fit was only that easy!
I do however need to go back to budgeting the small stuff - the shopping mainly - I never seem to be able to stick to a meal plan, a food budget! I do need to get this under control.LBM April 2014: Every Single Penny Counts
