:T:T:T Well done Valligirl. Maybe the Fly-Dog Tail-Wags made all the difference.;):D

Talking of which, I'm going to switch off the 'puter now (all my email finished, and spreadsheets all up to date so no need to keep it on, really) and take the Princesses out for their afternoon perambulation.:D Making the most of them, as they're here for one more week, then I have no more bookings til *gulp* July!!.

Hi, do I take it from your post that you look after doggles whilst owners are on holiday? If you don't mind me asking, where in the country are you?

    Morning all :)

Today's list is proving tricky as OH was asleep until 9 (and has now gone to play golf) and then the builders arrived so I need to stay with the doggles to reduce their stress levels. I am going to attempt to take them all upstairs with me in a bit and try get a few more bits done.

Terrible Tuesday ~ Master bedroom and Landing
    15 minutes...
strip the bedding and get it washed.. air the duvet
Mattress vacuumed, turned, vacuumed on other side and and then redress bed
    30 minutes to spare...
    [STRIKE]Deal with the floordrobe
    Wash the windows
Wipe all the doors and frames upstairs[/STRIKE]
    Got an hour...
    Vacuum floors
    Tidy a cupboard/chest of drawers
Dust and deweb.. inc bed frame!!

    Extras
    • Binbag dance
    • Binbag for charity
    • Sort out your own shoes and bags.. can any be rehomed?
    • [STRIKE]Wipe hand rails on stairs[/STRIKE]
    • 15 minutes weeding
Also two loads through the WM and have clean cycled the DW, although it now has flashing lights and is acting like its broken! I am hoping it is not actually broken as this happened once before and after having it switched off for a few weeks, it magically started working again, just as I had been donated a second hand replacement DW. Luckily, I still have the donated one in a corner in the kitchen, so if this one refuses to work, I'll try get FIL to come round and swap them over.

  • Reporting a brilliant morning - decided that I need a rota as with vol jobs and other things taking priority I am always out of step with the thread.

    Rota prepared

This morning have cleaned all kitchen windows incl door glass
    DW x1
WM x 1 and on airer
Soapy wood cleanered all kitchen cupboards and kick boards
    An hour of paperwork sorting
Emptied 2 drawers of hats scarves and gloves / rehomed in wardrobes and put bitty stationery in the drawers so easier to find when needed.

    Now decluttering lunch!!
Plan for pm is to finish important paperwork and hoover and damp dust downstairs.

Think this will work well and when I am on a full day at home will then pick bits from the hour long cleaning on thread so i don't get behind. Rota also means I keep a record of when I last cleaned kitchen cupboards. I swear it wasn't that long ago and the water was decidedly grubby:o!

    Have a good afternoon folks.

havent gone awol im still weeding back now looks ok both borders have been deweeded and some seeds scattered, moved on to front, nice ndn (next door neighbour) brought me a cuppa out as she noticed id been out there over an hour. nipped shops and carried on. buttercups might look nice but they are evil. i left a few last year thinkng it they would add a bit of colour to the front and they have covered it over the winter choking everything. its only a smallish area but ive filled a garden rubbish bag off the front and had to start another and im only half way through. want to get them all out. and scatter a few more wild flower seeds to fill the gaps im making. i only weeded last week but that was a quick tidy up so i didnt see all these buttercups.
have come in to do food will go back out once DH has gone back work.

I'm in Milton Keynes; but the company we're a host family with is nationwide; it's one of those franchise things, with each franchisee dealing with a specific area (I believe it's divided by postcodes). We're under contract, so I'm not allowed to take private bookings; what happens is each franchisee has several hosts on their books, and matches up the dogs with the best host for them as individuals; for instance, we have a tiny bungalow, so I don't get the two St Bernards I happen to know are clients of the company.:D It suits me as I'm very, very nervous of people, and this way means I don't have to meet the owners at all, the franchisee calls me to book my time, and he brings me the dog(s) and picks them up again at the end of their stay.:o I do the bulk of the work looking after the dogs, as I'm at home all day; but Mr LW helps out as well, particularly letting them out in the garden for their early-morning wee; he also comes with us on walks at weekends, which takes a bit of pressure off me when we have two staying (like now).:o

The two I have now, Patsy & Pandy, have stayed with me before; and in fact I'd had Pandy before that, when she lived with Pip the poodle (Pip passed away in 2011).:o One thing the franchisee does is to try and send regular clients to the same host each time as far as is possible, as they get to know each other - the two I have coming in July, my Hairy Hooligans, have been quite a few times, and regard this as their 2nd home!:D

I suppose I should put something about Flying, or I'll get told off.... after their walkies this afternoon, I shall give the Princesses a good brush, and once again Dys0n up all the grass clippings they've tracked in.:D
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

I'm still feeling rough! Bedroom is looking OK though so I'm not too concerned. I need to be well enough to go to work tomorrow. So today I'm just going to concentrate on catching up on the washing.

I put a saucer of vinegar in the fridge overnight so it no longer smells of fish. It does smell of vinegar but at least that doesn't make me feel sick!
