Happy Easter everyone. It's raining, so that kiboshes today's plans. I'll do some sewing instead, I think.

hi all, just popped on to say Happy Easter! Me and the kids happily eating chocolate on the sofa - DH away with the Explorers but will be home later this afternoon.

Grey and murky here so don't fancy a walk to shift the damage the chocolate will do; lots of other chances I'm sure.

One of fhe lovely things about having theatrey-types and young scientists to stay is that they, by and large, are super-squeaky clean.

When the guests are not from those two groups the effect, even after a week, is utterly revolting. I was actually heaving this morning. And that was even after an emergency thorough deep clean in the shower room two days ago. I have a theatre type arriving tonight, and no idea how to get the smelly rooms sparkly in the time available.

Hope you manage to sparkle those rooms in time HB

Yesterday we trashed our house. It seemed a good day to empty the walk-in wardrobe as I had seen a little mould. One thing led to another. Cleaning led to painting. 3 bin bags for the tip, 1 for cs and 1 of recycling. This followed a lovely long walk and a trip to a jts warehouse. The house was put back together by about 9pm.

Today started at 5am. Ironing done, ds2's bed changed and laundered. Peasants fed. Wudupa x many. Wishing for bedtime x
DH sent to the tip. Ds1 has gone to play football.

No one wants their egg here. I don't have one (my request)

    Afternoon all

A very calm Easter here (apart from an incident between DS2&3 which involved a nose bleed on my bed so bedding in the wash - was going to change ours tomorrow anyhow).

Dinner all done and cleared up from. Just doing a bit of online banking and my Mum's finances whilst she is here.

Hope you are all enjoying whatever you are upto and have better weather than here, heavy rain here but was dryer before lunch.

Given that one of our guests has been here on and off for six weeks without any kind of niffiness and the other was here for only one week, I think I know who's responsible for the utterly revolting state of the shower room.

To quote the late, great Breaker Morant, 'Shoot straight, you b**tards.' And while we're at it, the shower is for showering in - the piece of sanitary ware in the corner is for peeing in.

Thank G8d for disposable rubber gloves. Three pairs later ....
