Fizz glad you had a great trip. Bed for me now, we need to go to the bank in the morning, few bits of shopping, easter present for my mother who doesn't eat chocolate so probably garden centre trip or look in Harpenden when I drop DS2 off,The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -

Thanks for all your kind thoughts, comments and hugs. Just hoping something 'turns up' shortly eh.
Well - all house done except bathroom and kitchen floors. So difficult when DH in the house all the time and I'm not used to it. He's going to see his pal tomorrow morning so I can get finished then :j
Ate a frog this morning and cleaned out all the front porch and entrance. Boots and jackets (used to have an allotment) finally moved to cupboard (cleaned out last week) from sit-on box/seat thingy and this now recycling unit. All old pieces pipe/wood/tiles etc from DIY projects, sorted and either binned or put away. Mats brushed and banged, floors, walls and ceiling swept and floor washed. Everything put back in right places :T
Pigpen - I soo totally agree with everyone. Stick to your guns and if they won't feed you then take your own. Not like you're difficult as maybe some would find say vegan. I have veggie friends and my DS2 will not eat anything spicy but I love to see and feed them. I really don't see their problem as freezers and micros make it easy to provide different meals.
Hope you all have a great Easter weekend :easter:

Good morning all
We have goldfinches :j It's taken them long rnough to find it, but they're enjoying the niger seed now.
I spent most of yesterday in the garden, planting out yet more little beautiesand also digging out the compacted aggregate which the Garden Gang had hidden under a dressing of soil in what is to become the rose bed  Felt I had achieved quite a lot by the end of the day! I also stripped our bed, did WMx3, dried it all and re-made the bed.
DS1 rang last night and has arranged to bring DDiL and DGDs here for a meal on Thursday :T
Since watching the sun rise today, I have sliced up umpteen sheets of green A4 paper and devised a measuring/folding template which will hopefully enable the 50-or-so children who are expected at church for Messy Easter activities this morning to make their "palm" crosses. I expect I shall be cross-eyed by lunchtime!
Then back to the digging... Rain is forecast for tomorrow, which will settle the plants in nicely. I suppose I ought to mow the lawn too.
(((Hugs))) - especially to lynnejk - spoons and sticks all round.
Hope everyone has a happy Easter weekend :easter_ba0 -

Mrs Moneypenny, we use our 'best' of everything every day otherwise it may never get used.
So far today, I have hoovered downstairs, done a meal plan for the week and took the dogs for a lovely long walk. It's not quite so bright out today but once I've finished my cuppa I shall get back out in the garden.
I hope everyone is having a great day.Spend less now, work less later.0 -
mince with gravy/veg and sausages with casserole style sauce.. 2 tubs of acceptable food so if nothing else I have those to eat over the weekend.. not unreasonable is it?
Off to pack a crate of food... I have yelled at EVERYONE this morning.. I do NOT want to go!! I feel like crap, still full of cold and my hayfever is starting up, we are expecting chickenpox any day (DS1 who had them at 8 months old started up on Thursday lol) Dot is full of cold, Pixie is teething and full of cold... I want some time at home to get the place sorted.. no wonder I get nothing done!! Plus I don't want to leave the rabbit so soon after his anaesthetic him being so ill.. the last one died while we weren't here I don't want him to die alone.
Off to fee the WM's, drugs animals and write instructions for their care!!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -

thats what i realised, theres no point in having it in the attic for 364 days of the year, and using other stuff that was old and needed replacing when we had a nice set up there. less clutter and it gets usedSPC~12 ot 124
