Was advertised as having tax until end of October 2014.0 -
I'd chalk it down to experience and move on. I assume you looked the car over before buying. I would and if the tax disc said zero then I'd factor the cost in. Not saying that I am a great car buyer it's just something I have experince in as I used to drive loads of disabled tax cars as a trade plater and it was amazing how many others wouldn't use their plates in them or didn't know the rulesBedroom Tax / Spare room subsidy / Housing Benefit Reduction - It's the same thing, get over it.0

I did look at the car but who really looks at the small print... you look at the expiry date, well at least I would until this happened. Is there no way of reporting this type of misuse, wouldn't compensate me of course but would make me feel a little bit btter at least !0

I'd pay the tax and using the copy of the advert that you've kept claim back through small claims if a letter (sent to be signed for" formally claiming the refund and advising if not resolved with X days you'll be taking legal action doesn't sort out the situation.I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole

Thanks for the reply.
I have kept a screen shot of the advert and I also have a transcription of the conversation ( where he admits use of the vehicle since Nov 2013) of me asking for compensation of monies due to the tax disk being unusable.
How would I go about starting a claim via small claims ?
Many Thanks

I'm not sure to be honest, it's more the principle of it. The seller has managed to defraud me and the country.0
