Your anecdotes about your son always make me smile FC - he sounds so lovely and you have the patience of a saint! :A
Have you read the novel 'The Rosie Project'? The main character sounds just like an adult version of your ds and I was cheering him on all the way through the book.
Yes, I have read it. It was quite a poignant read for me and you are spot on about the main character....It's probably my single biggest worry in life, how he will cope as an adult. Probably excessively in my case but that's just normal parenthood.
I always think if he could meet someone who he makes smile as much as he makes me smile, he'll be sorted0 -

Re the glitching
I gave lots to my dd but have decided not to anymore. I have problems going out and at times it makes me physically ill chasing glitches. I do it to make a better life for my family. Dd has just treated herself to a BMW and always has designer clothing and top of range everything. If I tell her about glitches she dosnt bother to do them. So I guess what I'm saying is it's pointless making myself ill to save her a few pounds if she has money to burn and thinks nothing of wasting money herself.
Look after yourself first cjj. No glitch is worth feeling ill over. :A0 -
Chrisv or anyone else, please can you explain the chappati thing to me? What do they look like and what do they initially cost? Forgive me, I have read through the posts and the explanations but as usual, they have gone over my head. Please and thanks in advance.
Buy 2 of these mimi, in an A v T shop. Compares £5.20 v £1.10 and gives back £4.21 APG.0 -
I was walking along the pavement in a car park today.
Ahead was a car parked half on the pavement with a woman leaning into window talking.
Coming towards her was a guy with a pushchair & he had difficulty getting past them.
She calls after him, something along the line of - no need to shove her
 the cheek - I walk past & say 'if you weren't parked on the pavement we would be able to get past':p:p
:o:o well - I had enough of Tourist rudeness today.
and bossy volunteers on steam railway stations:p

I understand what you are saying cjj - your DD seems to be doing OK, you need to concentrate more on yourself
Do the glitches that will save you money or give you extra treats, but none of them are worth making yourself ill over.
I push myself so hard to do them though Chris to make a better life for my 2 ds. As I can't work and never had any benefits I see this money saving thing as my contribution to my family finances. My oh works long hours self employed but the pay is rubbish. The money I save on shopping can be spent on other things we need or saved for our future xxCherish those you have in your life because you never know when they won't be there anymore.
No matter how you feel, get up, dress up & never give up.0 -

Nestle Original Shreddies (500g) are to go onto Avs M. M = £1.15, not best price ever but sort of 'okay'.
Also Kelloggs Variety Pack should become £1.04 for M, although I wouldn't go for it as these are always expensive packs by weight.
Pringles, as you know, are £1.24 each in M (too expensive but watch those offers elsewhere;))
Branston Beans (4 pack) £1.25 in M. Again, not best price (M was £1.19 some months ago) and can be beaten elsewhere, but possible for APG attempt in a few days time.
Princes Wild Pink Salmon tin (213g) remains at £1 (with the red version now on the offer ends at £2.50:rotfl:)
It's possible that 2x ASDA Tomato Puree (142g) could work out favourably vs M. I don't know - maybe that's a temperamental one due to issues over "Italian", "double concentrate" etc.
Walls Mini Twisters - stop tempting us Savvy:mad: - remain at £1 in M (nice and out of stock in my M store today but that doesn't matter!:D).
There's also some doughnutty packs at 50p in M (not sure if they're ones that compare from A?) but, anyway, they're another tempter and best ignored!
More healthily, and one I'd still go for (assuming this remains same tomorrow etc.), the (400g) Yellow Plums continue at £1 vs 49p M. The usual suspects - iceberg lettuce, 335g fresh broccoli, McV Jamaica cake - remain at last week's prices in M as of today, though I only get the last mentioned nowadays if there is cashback or some SEL errors.
Savvy there is a £1 coupon for Shreddies:

I must admit I'm already getting a little frustrated with my (adult) children who tease me mercilessly about my attempts to shop the Elite way and refuse to try it themselves, yet they seem to think that anything I've managed to get on glitches (e.g. burgers, pork chops, pop and wine) is so cheap (and easily procured) I will be happy to give lots to them.
Obviously I am very happy and willing to share things with family and friends and I'd love to be in a position where I have more than we want/need so can give loads away. However, they just don't get it that the main reason I'm taking all this time and effort is to try and cut down on our shopping bill and save money.
For example, I managed to get 18 lots of burgers (which from memory I think ended up costing me about £1.50 per pack + fillers, time, effort, petrol etc) and I intended to use these for mince dishes over the next couple of months. However, I've already donated more than half of them to my children when they've said things like, "Mum, you know those cheap burgers you've got in the freezer, please can we have some for a BBQ we're going to?" They think that because I've paid so little for them they are 'freebies'. I know my children would never have asked me for food if they thought I'd paid full price for it and I'd feel really mean if I refused when they (and I) know I've paid so little for them!
I've suddenly realised that, having given half of them away, those £1.50 per pack burgers I sweated blood and tears over (not to mention risking trouting) have actually cost me double that now (albeit I've had the pleasure of giving great meat to my children too)! I guess the lesson is for me to keep shtumm  regarding my glitched bargains and then, when I do give them away, everyone will be overwhelmed by my generosity!:D:D:D
Unfortunately you are at that stage. We all been through It. So pleased with ourselves to be getting free stuff handing it round etc.
Then somewhere along the line you realise going to have to stop handing it out and go about your glitching and enjoy the spoils quietly0 -
Best results if bought in 2's..... I didn't buy today as there was only 1. I think I know the product it's comparing to.
I believe the odd price is due to a weight difference within the 10%. Someone please correct me if i'm wrong.

Such a fab comparison by msm.;):D These meals are dotted around in mysterious places in the fridge in A's, took me a few visits to realise my store do have them. But only had one today.
