You have been given the correct advice, all renewals will be issued by end of June. This is the same as the last few years, it is not an error.0 -
I had an extra payment go in then my normal payment went in but was £50 less than normal but I've had no renewal and my income only change but a few hundred quid. Tried calling them but after 10 minutes of getting through their menus and listening to their ramblings I was told "sorry we can't deal with your call. Good bye." Charming!! Been smoke free for 4 years!! :beer:0

Come to think of it - that timetable looks exactly the same as this year's except the year!0 -

My payments went down too by £18 per month. Even though my circumstances haven't changed. I earned about £800 more but am now getting around £400 less in tax credits0 -

I understand it is difficult with a new business but you should be aware that tax credits are starting to look into claims more where someone is self employed but declaring a zero profit as they are then not working in expectation of payment.
But more info on it here - http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/manuals/tcmanual/TCM0126260.htm
Hi
We haven't made a proft for the last 3 years due to losses carried forward for accounting purposes etc. Hubby giving it 1 more year and then maybe looking for something else. We rely on the tax credits to keep going. When are they starting to look into claims on self-employment losses/zero profit. We had a compliance check last year because I deducted the loss but they said they were happy enough about that.
Thanks0 -

There is no telling when they will look at your claim for a compliance check.
My wife is self employed and she had a check a couple of years ago I think. They were having a look at loads of self employed claims at the time because the forum was full of people worrying about them.
Ours was probably because she works over 30 hours but that tax year didn't make much profit.
We haven't had one since but they were mostly checking the hours you worked were as declared. It came back fine0 -

Hi Frester
Thanks for that. We had a compliance check too last year and not heard anything else but with BlondBubbles saying they are starting to look at more of them I wondered if we would get picked up again. It's just the hassle more than anything else. Cheers0 -
