Think they mean that you've got a huge number of people following your progress and that even the national debtline (official sites) have posted, trying to help you. :)
  • I am starting to wish I hadn't put so much information in it, when I was feeling so vulnerable and emotional it done me good to get it down in words.

If anyone recognises me in real life please dont let on you know I just cant face talking about it even though its looking more positive and I can see it being fixed and him making changes I want to keep it at the back of my mind dealing with those emotions daily is exhausting.

Thanks for all the support and information it has been the backbone in getting us into the position we we are now.

  • It putting information on this forum helped you vent your anger, ask questions or express yourself in any way, then if it helped in the long run - that's great.

I promise if I recognise you in real life (which I don't), then I'll carry on as if I never read a word.

I hope you and your OH manage to continue to work together to solve these huge issues and carry on with your lives - however that is meant to work out. But I wish only good things for you and your family.

I think a fair few of us have done the same on here, and are only too willing to respect your privacy as we appreciate that everyone respects ours too. I'm glad that you and your partner are beginning to see a way through this and, best of all, that it looks as if you might be able to do so together because whilst you clearly can cope perfectly well on your own, it would be disappointing to see an otherwise good relationship ending. Exhausting for you though, so do look after yourself as best as you can and keep posting :)

Out of the hundred or so people who have responded I think it is highly unlikely that anyone will identify you in real life. It can be a very small world but generally that is the exception rather than the rule. Additionally, like many things that enter out lives, our attention spans are short and like todays papers your thread will become tomorrows fish and chip paper.

I have posted about my son's drug abuse, mine and his debts, my previous marriage etc etc and have not really bothered about anyone knowing me or recognising me in reality.

The advice and comfort I have received over the years on this, and other forums, far outweighs any risk of recognition - it has also saved me a small fortune in counselling fees.

    Please try not to worry.:A

And most of us in here have (or had) debt too.

At least we're all trying to fix it...
