You may as well put it in the garden....

Did anyone see the comedian a while ago talking about the dishwasher, it went along the line of why does the other half put dishes on the kitchen surface above the dishwasher? You may as well put them in the garden as they won't wash themselves there either!
I live in one of these homes, anyone else lol?
Is it that they are lazy or they just don't "see it" ?

Not entirely sure why people bother with dishwashers. By the time you have messed about loading the darn thing up, you can do the washing up yourself much much quicker than the dishwasher.
My mate has a dishwasher in his kitchen, its crap. Still has to rewash half of the stuff afterwards!0 -
We don't have a dishwasher, but I have a similar issue with OH and the bin.
He always puts empty rubbish on the counter ABOVE the pedal bin. I really, really can't get my head around it and it drives me nuts!!!!0 -
I've got a dishwasher that was here when i moved in 7yrs ago. I've not used it once. It's no big deal to wash up by hand.Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,
What it may grow to in time, I know not what.

My dishwasher is amazing cleans brilliantly.
Its also more economic than washing up by hand often.0 -
Sorry I didn't mean the post to be about if you use a dishwasher, more a tounge in cheek discussion about loading the thing.0

I haven't got a dishwasher either so plates etc that need washing get put in the washing up bowl in the sink. My OH insists on putting them on the worktop next to the sink and it drives me mad!!

"lazy or don't see it? " . . . . . a little of both maybe?
My DD always seems to leave empty 1 litre drinks cartons in the 'fridge!

See now my husband piles up the dirty plates, pots etc in the sink, and that drives me mad!! I then have to empty it all out to fill the washing up bowl with water!
He also puts empty packaging back in the cupboard/fridge/wherever he got it from. And toilet roll tubes on top of the bathroom bin (although that's an improvement from on the windowsill next to the toilet)...:j Debt Free 27.07.2011!! :j0 -
Years ago my now ex walked through the kitchen where I was sorting the laundry - piles of clothes, towels, bedding etc where I am in mid-sort before loading the washing machine... steps over the piles and puts a pair of pants on the floor in the place where the laundry basket would be if I hadn't got it in the kitchen with me as I was sorting through it... :wall:
Yet he often accused me of being unobservant. :cool:0
