Fail to stop, is it worth reporting

Just to clarify the law on the requirement to stop / report under s.170 RTA.
The obligation arises if, owing to the presence of vehicle on a road / public place, an accident occurs whereby damage is caused to any other vehicle, an animal (not in that vehicle), or property on the land - or injury is caused.
Contrary to common belief, there is actually no legal requirement for there to have been physical contact for the offence to have been committed. Where the presence of vehicle A causes vehicle B to swerve and one of the listed outcomes occurs (e.g. damage to vehicle , vehicle A is obliged to stop. , vehicle A is obliged to stop.
There is also no requirement for vehicle A or B to be at fault in the manner of their driving.
It is right that, as someone else says, there will be no criminal liability if the driver is unaware of an accident having occurred.0

Then why did you call the police?"One day I realised that when you are lying in your grave, it's no good saying, "I was too shy, too frightened."
Because by then you've blown your chances. That's it."0

What does the OP say? I give up, I really do.I called the police to report it for insurance purposes
I really am at a loss here. As previously said, my queries and questions were all answered after the first couple of posts on this thread. The following responses have been inappropriate, unhelpful and a waste of time. Someone for the love of god, close this thread down. I am appauled at the lack of attention to detail forum readers have.0

I think you should write a complaint, in green ink, to your MP.0

If you PM one of the board guides, I think they can lock it for you if that's what you would like.0

 For future reference:
For insurance purposes, you call your insurance company.
The police are for criminal matters."One day I realised that when you are lying in your grave, it's no good saying, "I was too shy, too frightened."
Because by then you've blown your chances. That's it."0

OP's reaction in this thread is hilarious.0

My impression from viewing the clip several times is that the OP over-reacted and drove too close to the kerb. If you are going to drive at that speed down a narrow road, without any consideration that there could be a wider vehicle approaching, then you really need to develop a better sense of the width of your vehicle.
Alternatively, fit tougher wheels, not alloys. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

It worries me how oblivious people are to their own poor driving. The OP here even posted a video of his own driving error and then cant understand why people are criticising him, reacts furiously insulting people, and then storms off.
Exactly like a road rager who drives too fast at an oncoming vehicle and then hits something would react.
Its lucky there wasnt a pedestrian on the pavement there or they would have had a close call. I hope the OP learns something from this thread but unfortunately it seems unlikely. I hope I dont encounter him driving at me on a narrow road.0
