  • Yayyyy for test results proving nothing is lurking!! Maybe you are right and it is an intolerance. Get yourself to the doctors and force a position on the list for patch testing. It has been 18 months and I still didn't get an appointment yet! Well I did, but then it got cancelled due to budget cuts and I am on a waiting list! - I am allergic to artichokes, which set off a reaction so bad I looked like this:

    smith-hitch.png

and resulted in reactions to every make-up item, perfume, toothpaste, face cream and even shampoo and conditioners that touched my head. I even got a horrid reaction to a hand wash which dared to have milk protein in it. That intolerance flared like mad when the artichoke thing came up and has only just settled again. Causes bad tummy issues indeed. :)

Hugs and hope they fix you soon.

Imagining you snug as a bug in bed, with a warm house finally. :D so pleased for hot water! xx

Glad to hear that the heating is (almost) fixed and you'll have some nice comfy liveable rooms!

Also good to hear that there is nothing sinister going on with your health, but it must be frustrating not knowing the cause. I had a mystery illness last year where my joints were inflamed and agony. Loads of tests and they found nothing! I had to have physio in the end and then it reduced. Hope you get sorted too.

Money-wise, it sounds like you're doing great!

  • Thanks for your messages guys, and sorry to hear about the reactions / mystery illnesses. Sounds very uncomfortable!

Sorry for being awol again, but unfortunately my poor dad is now in hospital, and as my mum needs 24hr support we had to scramble! Still very busy and ongoing rubbishness, but thankfully dad seems ok in himself; just waiting for lots of tests, and fingers crossed it's something easily solvable.

Hope everyone else is well - 'speak' soon x

  • Crokey Gib, certainly never a slow news day in your house is it.

Take care of you, and DH. Hope Dad gets better soon, and please don't let mum put on any emotional blackmail when you are finally able to get back to your own life (hopefully very soon!) as I know you find it hard to leave her.

    Lots of love. xxx
