Hi Goldie, thanks for dropping by

The trouble with me working part-time is that it's still my class so I have the same amount of paper work, to complete in four days instead of five. I have a little bit less planning and obviously no marking on a Friday. Mainly it means I don't have to work at the weekends :T

I almost forgot to do my weekly update - not good when it's only week three :naughty:

    Health
Less pain this week, although it will probably return the week after next. I haven't heard from the doctors yet but I'm not expecting to for a few weeks.
Walking - I managed 4.3 miles today but I haven't walked as much as I would have liked throughout the week. Basically it's been colder and I haven't wanted to go out in the evenings :o
Food has continued to be a success. I'm regularly eating 5 or more fruit and veg a day.
I would like to drink more water and sleep more this week :)

    Happiness
I haven't been keeping my gratitude diary up to date this week but I've generally been quite happy. I've managed to keep up to date with work and jobs at home which helps. Could do with sleeping better next week..oh I've already said that!

    Future
DH and I have been planning and plotting our next house. We hope to be able to stay there for 20+ years and it will almost certainly be another renovation  Let's get this one finished first :rotfl:
We've hardly spent anything from our normal spends this week. We are still using cash for spends so it's easy to tell.
We have spent a chunk out of our building fund as we ordered our bathrooms yesterday :) I got them all online in the January sale with a bit of cashback so lots of money saved. Still spent about £1.3k

    This week I want to:
    • Go to bed on time
    • Keep up my gratitude diary

Have a lovely week everyone

Ugh, I slept so badly last night. There's nothing worse on a Monday! Still, I managed to get to work in good time and am up to date with all marking etc. On a course tomorrow which takes the pressure off a bit,

To be fair, it's only Monday! Although there is a load of writing that I need to assess hidden away somewhere but I prefer to do a few pieces at a time :D

We had curry from the freezer for dinner with naan and bhajis - why is it even better after freezing?

Dogs walked 2.2 miles bringing my total to 30 miles so far in January :)

Just looked at booking theatre tickets for our anniversary but the play I was so excited about seeing isn't on over the weekend we are there :( We can still see Hamlet which will be great but I know this is on more often than the other play, which is a shame. Maybe we need another weekend away...

    Evening all

I'm very much trying to focus on the positives today and trying to keep myself distracted and not dwell on things.

I was on a stressful course today followed by a long meeting. Brain. Fried.

On the positive side, the lunch was nice, healthy and free:D

Then DH suggested chips because I got home late and he had to go out. I said yes, forgetting I had a Mr T pizza in the freezer for just such an occasion

On the positive side, DH went to a cheaper but nice new chip shop, we shared the chips and I had a couple of veggie sausages from the freezer so it cost less than £3

    I have now:
    - got my planning etc ready for the morning
    - did some planning for next week
    - spent 10 minutes having a mad tidy up
    - sorted out the kitchen and dishwasher
    - written my gratitude diary

    I'm now in bed :o

There we go, positivity just about won :p

    Struggling today.

    I am grateful for:
    Cuddles with dogs
DH. He manages to say the right thing occasionally.
Having my own space to hide away.

  • Ok so
    *you found four positives
*you have a dog who loves you
*you have a (soul sapping sometimes I know) career
    *your DH tries
    *you have online friends.
