I think it sounds like an excellent plan - challenging but achievable.Early retired - 18th December 2014

Morning :hello:
So far this morning I have opened two F1rst D1rect regular savers at 6% each, one for me and one for DH. This involved getting locked out of both of our secure key phone apps (because we both have new phones ) and subsequent long phone calls to get everything unlocked and set up again. It took approximately 30 seconds to open the accounts :rotfl:
£600 (£300 each) has electronically zipped over to it's new homes :T
As it's Saturday I thought I'd do my first weekly update, although I only set my goals yesterday.
Health- Despite the overeating/drinking that may have occurred this week
, we have definitely eaten more fresh salad and veg than we normally do. I have been having a handful of spinach leaves with most lunches and DH has found an amazing way to cook fresh veg - baked in the oven in a tin foil parcel with a bit of salt, pepper and olive oil yum!
- We attempted a walk yesterday but the wind and rain was so strong that it was completely unbearable and we gave up. Only managed 0.8 of a mile!
- No yoga or pilates yet but I may attempt some gentle stretches otherwise the first class will be a bit of a shock!
- Weather still hideous = bike carrier still in box
I was interested to read about this on Goldie's diary. I think pavlovsdog mentioned it. Now I definitely won't have time to walk 1000 miles this year, especially with DH working on the house, but I thought I might see how far I/we can walk. Will also include cycling as a bit of added motivation
Happiness
Lots of things to be grateful for this week including:- Time with family
- Lots of dog walks despite the ridiculous wind!
- Horse riding
- Time with friends including the pub quiz
- December/January TV
- Cornish beaches on our doorstep
- My wonderful husband
- Despite the building work, we are safe, warm (mostly) and dry (again mostly). We have enough money and food. We are extremely lucky to live in the UK and should continue to support people less well off than ourselves.
Future- Regular savers set up
I really hope the weather calms down so we can get out for a walk this afternoon. It's crazy out there again today "It is often said that before you die your life passes before your eyes. It is in fact true. It's called living." Terry PratchettBought our house 2012Married 2015

Just got home from watching Star Wars which was pretty good. I'm ashamed to admit I don't think I've watched many if any of the old films, maybe one of them but I can't remember much about it!
Walked 2.4 miles with the pups around the local area as weather still really hideous.
Started a 3 week meal plan and did Mr T order for week 1. Came in at under £50 and includes lots of fresh veg
Oops, got to do some school work tomorrow, not done a thing this holiday although I did a bit before the holiday"It is often said that before you die your life passes before your eyes. It is in fact true. It's called living." Terry PratchettBought our house 2012Married 2015

Walked 3 miles with dogs. Still windy but the sun was actually out for a bit! No rain!!!
Got stressed out over schoolwork. It's the usual case of 14 weeks worth of material to fit into an 11 week term before the tests in May. Just had to tell myself that it will happen somehow and I can only do my best."It is often said that before you die your life passes before your eyes. It is in fact true. It's called living." Whoops, where did my positivity go?
Awake at 4am in pain and now have the prospect of trying to persuade a Dr to refer me and then the stupidly long waiting time. I've been burying my head in the sand a bit and counting on it not getting worse 😕
Now I need to find the energy to go to pilates..."It is often said that before you die your life passes before your eyes. It is in fact true. It's called living." Terry PratchettBought our house 2012Married 2015

Yay it's Friday :j For me anyway
I have made it through this week purely on the knowledge that I have Friday off
Spent a lot of time today supporting a colleague who is struggling to cope at the moment and it makes me really mad. There is always one of us on the verge of a breakdown, while certain people swan around and completely ignore the stress we are under
Aaaand breatheI am better today in terms of health
I saw the actual sun today (in between hail stones)
I don't have to work tomorrow
I avoided running over a squirrel
Dogs walked 1.8miles

Well it's been a bit of an up and down week but today was my first Friday off :j I had planned to get a load of school and housework done but DH ended up having the day off too so we went for a lovely walk in the sunshine by the sea.Saw the Dr and she was happy to refer me.
3 miles walked
I made a batch cook of curry for dinner and have 7 portions ready to freeze.
