Love the happy day feeling that came throughMade it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!0 -

Hi janey,
I love the thought of you chasing baby seagulls around :rotfl: it sounds like you're over run with them!
Well done on the decluttering! That's something I really need to get on with, do share any good blogs you find, I find them really inspiring (after I've spent several days sat reading them :rotfl:)
Have a good last day at work :j
It was a bit of a comedy classic: DH chasing it around through the undergrowth with a towel, me chasing them with a box, mummy seagull flying around us screeching :rotfl:
I'm currently enjoying this blog called Just a Little Less. She writes a lot so I'm still back in 2012!Love the happy day feeling that came through
Thanks, I am feeling happyAlchemilla wrote: »Me too.

Another busy but productive day. I'm having to clear out a classroom which I have already cleared out once before. Now it's full of tat again
I'm going in tomorrow morning to carry on with it.
A little bit more decluttering done at home as well. DH went through his bedside cabinet with me and I sorted the rest of the drawers under the bed, so our bedroom is mostly done. I need to think about towel storage in the future.
Nature notes
One hedgehog spotted crossing the road late last night and... an African Grey parrot in our back garden!!! Apparently it's been on the run from a house over the road for about 4 weeks.

They're so sweet aren't they! The only hedgehogs I usually see are flat

Very. I wish it was safe at home though. We have a lot of seagulls around here and it isn't very big.
What a lot of rain
I got very excited this morning thinking it was DH's payday, only to realise that we both get paid next Friday
At least the accounts are all tidy and up to date now!
I woke up in the night and couldn't get back to sleep so I'm feeling pretty worn out this morning. I'm supposed to be riding later but really feel like a day at home.
I want to:
- finish sorting the paperwork in the spare room.
- Resist the urge to buy new, pretty files and folders
- Clear and clean the last of the shelves
- declutter the desk drawer
- collect an order from N£xt
- Go to M&S to hopefully find a present
- Go to the post office
- Pick up some stuff from the vets
- put some things on ebay
- get the charity bag collected that they missed yesterday
I'll be pretty chuffed if I finish all of that!
Have a lovely day everyone"It is often said that before you die your life passes before your eyes. It is in fact true. It's called living." Terry PratchettBought our house 2012Married 2015

Morning all
It's payday in our household :j:j:j
But first, I've had a lovely week with some horse riding, dog walking and time with family. The highlight was watching a brilliant open air production of Twelfth Night for my late birthday treatI've completed a few tasks around the house but mainly just managed to cross a few tasks off my list. As well as all of this I've forced myself to stop and relax, mainly reading a book or blogs online which has helped me relax a bit
The 'big declutter' saw good progress at the beginning of the week but I've sort of lost momentum.
Next week, well from Saturday to next Saturday, I'm doing some voluntary digging on an archaeological dig so I don't expect to have much time for anything much but I might try to complete some short decluttering tasks each evening.
OK, money...
In July we saved £1780 into our emergency fund, renovation fund and a little towards a new car.
The renovation total is at 102%. I have to keep adding to this as we underestimated the cost of all the fees and I want to keep this separate from the main budget.
Our emergency fund is at 58%
I have already transferred a few bits and pieces for August including £100 towards a holiday. I don't know where or when but we will need a holiday at some point!
Think that's about it for now
Hope you all have a lovely day"It is often said that before you die your life passes before your eyes. It is in fact true. It's called living." Terry PratchettBought our house 2012Married 2015
