I got a cracking photo of a swarm of bees that had settled on a flower display near us last week. It was one of the most fascinating things I have ever seen :)

Wow! I'm glad this one didn't settle. It was quite spread out and took a while to move up the street.

    Another busy day :)

Decluttering is going well. I focused on our bedroom today and have cleared my bedside cabinet, my drawer of cosmetics etc, one drawer under the bed and all my clothes and shoes. I've relocated loads of items, filled 2 charity bags and put a carrier bag full in the bin. :) I also have a pile to ebay but I'm not sure if I can be bothered :o

    I have also:
    • walked the dogs
    • vacuumed but then went outside into the mud and now need to do again
    • Washed and dried 3 loads (in the dryer unfortunately as it's been piddling down)
    • Renewed our car insurance for £143 :j
    • Requested £6.90 from £co :T

I also found a simple living blog that I've been reading throughout the day. It made me think about enjoying life a bit more and focusing on the good things in life.

So, things that made me :) today:
    • Our wedding photobook arrived today and I LOVE it :j
    • The dogs, as always :)
    • a day off work
    • the feeling of freedom that comes with a clutter free drawer or two
    • a walk in the sun when the rain has finally stopped
    • the smell of plants after rain
    • lots of beautiful plants. I'm lucky enough to live near a sort-of tropical garden

    Morning :)

    It's not raining :):)

I'm trying not overload my to do list at the moment so today looks like:
    • Decluttering
    • Walk dogs
    • start listing ebay items
    • Collect payslips from mortgage advisor
    • Order my face cream online (compare prices first of course :D)

Trouble is, in trying to keep my list short, I've also got an additional list in my head which includes: vacuum up the mud again, unload and load dishwasher again, collect order from next, continue trying to find a pair of shorts which don't look awful, file nails and try to remove remnants of old nail varnish....

Ah well, I'm not perfect :o

I also seem to have lost my decluttering mojo:( I'm going to drink a cuppa, read a minimalism blog and hope it come back pronto :)

Hope you all have a lovely day

I'm hoping to have a bit of a declutter today and put some stuff on ebay too - we should help each other!

There's at least 5 items I want to list today - you? :)

Oops, didn't get on to the ebaying! Spent the whole day sorting papers and chasing baby seagulls :rotfl:

I can't believe I'm about to write this but...I have had a lovely day sorting and decluttering papers :rotfl::eek::rotfl:

My list doesn't show the progress I've made! I'm usually quite good at filing but I've had a real clear out and am in the process of totally overhauling my filing system. I just need to sort through DH's mountain of paperwork and buy an expanding folder and everything will be sorted and simplified :)

Right, I'm going to yoga for the first time in weeks and will walk the dogs when I get home.

Last day at work tomorrow :j

Thank you! He certainly is :D

I almost forgot the things that made me :) :

    - the feeling of clearing the clutter :)
    - sorting through the deeds for our house - I love the little snippets of history
    - helping an elderly neighbour by rescuing a baby seagull from her [STRIKE]jungle[/STRIKE] garden
    - feeling really good after a good stretch at yoga
    - a quick walk with the pup before it gets dark
    - my wonderful husband :)

I could probably write more, it's just been a happy sort of day :)

    Hi janey,

I love the thought of you chasing baby seagulls around :rotfl: it sounds like you're over run with them!

Well done on the decluttering! That's something I really need to get on with, do share any good blogs you find, I find them really inspiring (after I've spent several days sat reading them :rotfl:)

Have a good last day at work :j
