Money vs Morals?

            I have a confession too....
On father's day I was having my dad over for dinner, as a treat I went to Waitrose to buy the food (still cheaper than a meal out). I picked out a lovely whole trout at the busy fish counter, didn't look at how much it cost (too scared!). I did think the overall cost of the shopping was pretty reasonable. When I got home I noticed the label on the fish said "tuna", I ripped open the bag and inside was my trout! The lady had obviously got the labels mixed up. I pity the person who thought they were spending £3 on tuna and ended up paying probably £10+......Saving for an early retirement!0

Id have felt no regret. This country rips you off in everything you do. I read somewhere that out of £100 , only £9 something is untaxed (if you include income tax , vat etc)
Next time do it with a crate of beer and have a drink on tesco!0

I'm one of those totally paranoid people who think they'd be blacklisted forever - but then I think you are as you are thinking still of that 38p. I would have said something at time but wish I had the courage to just walk out with it!!0

So we've discussed the ethics of taking a 38p jar of babyfood due to tesco's mistake.
How do people feel about another DFW dilemma: Would you use your work's franking machine to post Ebay and Amazon parcels? Lots of people do.
I find this shocking - but I know I'm a hypocrite because when I was employed I thought nothing of using the phone to make personal calls, which is theft in the same way.Total debt: 1 January 2007 £[strike]49,387.79[/strike] 1 January 2012 £[STRIKE]19,312.85[/STRIKE] 1 August 2012 £11,517.620

I don't work (outside the home that is!) so don't know about the franking machine but if someone gives me too much change I do give it back as they'll get into trouble if their till's wrong,

I dont think its right to post your ebay/amazon things from work because at the end of the day you are profiting from selling those things so you should have taken into account the cost of posting in your selling price.
I dont think the odd phone call on the works phone is too bad to be honest unless you are taking liberties and spending an hour on it! And sometimes it cant be helped and its an emergency, if your talking about things like that just think how many people surf the web in work time not only are you using your works computer, electricity, internet connection but your not putting in the hours you are suppose to at your job, but then again if you do extra work and dont get paid for it then having a perk isnt so bad.

I think you all should hand yourself into the police today. 38P theft is theft you deserve to be given jail time. You definatly wont get in to heaven thats for sure!0

It annoys me people using franking machines and also work mates who make personal calls, not only are they pinching the cost of a phone call they put extra work on everyone else - and boy do some people spend hours over the week on personal calls!0
