Doesn't that lead to a very restrictive existence? Few people can isolate themselves from relating with the opposite sex, but they can put in sensible boundaries that will keep those relationships from ever getting out of hand. Out of interest does he discourage you from having male friends?

There was a friend who I got to know just before I got with my OH I did stop being friends with him as he was flirty and my OH didnt like it

I should add I don't have any male friends

Does that not have a big impact on how you two socialise? Surely your friends have partners. How do you each cope with one another interacting, communicating and getting on with them?
The best day of your life is the one on which you decide your life is your own, no apologies or excuses. No one to lean on, rely on or blame. The gift is yours - it is an amazing journey - and you alone are responsible for the quality of it. This is the day your life really begins.

Wayn is harmless and my husband is always getting messages, we find it quite amusing now.
I'd stop worrying over it yourself and let your OH get these almost certainly innocent messages as it's the only contact he'll get with any females by the sound of things!

All but two of my friends are married (the others engaged) my OHs friend has a girlfriend, we both get on well with their partners but that's what they are a friends partner, I don't class my friends husbands as my friends

Do you have males friends by any chance? I couldn't be with someone who tells me who I can and can't be friends with. You sound jealous and controlling.

  • I get on better with men than women as a rule, most of my friends are male.

OH has female friends and it does make me nervy sometimes because he's so much better looking than me and his friends are beautiful, but I trust him, he trusts me and that's that :)

    Same here

My best friend is also a guy  but my bf has met him and is okay with him, plus he has a lovely gf who is also a friend now.

I know my bf has female friends and work colleuges but there's no point in me getting jealous, I have to trust him and vice versa, our relationship wouldn't work otherwise as he lives 30+ miles away

Conversely I'd actually be very suspicious of a guy who didn't have female friends. I would probably think they were a bit socially inept!!

Having friends of both sexes is very normal in my social circle. Life would be exceptionally dull without them.
