It's not the fact that it is or isn't a dating site, it's the fact he had females on the friends list as I chose to be with someone who doesn't have female friends
But I'm hoping like Tropez said that they were just auto added0 -
That's exactly what I said, he said that they could have got it from his email but the passwords aren't exactly the same
I just think there too much of a coincidence that the password was the one he uses on almost every other thing he's signed up to for it to have been someone else who created the account or for the account to have been created without his knowledge
Well, its possible he signed up for it in 2005 or 2006 or whatever the year its been active since and forgotten about it. But as I said, I used to get a lot of emails from them, if hes had one email recently, hes probably had a lot of them. I think I used to get them on a daily basis.
It doesnt necessarily mean anything is going on or has been going on. Sometimes sites get a hold of you because someone on your email contact list has subscribed. I used to get loads of emails from Badoo and youd get an email saying so and so wants to connect with you, when they were just on your email list and if you made an account everyone on your email contacts would get one asking them to join, because they send an email saying you are looking for them, ridiculous and a pain in the backside.
What Im trying to say is that if he does have an active account on WAYN, Id be surprised if this was the first email hes had from the site in a long time, because these sites tend to email people who are subscribed on a very regular basis.0 -
as others have said WAYN fizzled out years ago. I think I signed up but never went on again. I have occasionally received spam type emails.0

He did a few weeks ago do a mass deletion of emails from his account (it's one he doesn't use much) so there were loads, there could have been some from wayn in there0 -

Hope things turn out OK. x
Yes I get that, but hed have had to make the account in the first place, the OP was saying in her first post it was possible someone else had signed him up to WAYN.0 -

Ah, OK. Thanks.
Just going by what the OP has said on this thread, it does sound like he's being quite upfront and open with her.0 -

Well if it helps any, I decided to check my old WAYN account.
I, apparently, have 26 friends, only two of which I've ever heard of and the majority of who are female - one of who looks suspiciously like Avril Lavigne to the point where I think "her" profile picture is actually Avril Lavigne. I don't remember authorising any of these so-called "friends" and I think this is the first time I've visited that site since I created the account.
The site is rather notorious for its silly little tricks and gimmicks, as well as for a period editing its own Wikipedia page to remove criticism and add statistics with itself as a source. Looking at its current Wiki page, there's a paragraph regarding its dodgy marketing tactics.0 -

Seriously - you don't allow your boyfriend to have female friends??
That is very controlling.

I've never told him who to be friends with but I wouldn't be with someone who had female friends, I am entitled to that choice0
