Sounds like a rent a boiler scheme - the company get the RHI payments. They've been discussed on these forums a bit so take a look around.0

I don't think it is a boiler rental scheme as there is no fee to pay, monthly or otherwise.0 -
Rents can be zero... anyway I guess I used a misleading term. There are other posts around on this subject, I think.0

Hello
This DRHI is obviously to encourage people as far as everything is concerned with heating the house or water.
Is there a similar one for the electricity. I know about the FIT but are there any grant that help you purchase the PVs ?
Similarly are there some grants to install system to capture rain water, filter it and then use it in your toilets, washing machine and shower?. Such systems are common in Germany but have not really found anything here in the UK especially for houses already built.
Thanks and best regards0 -
The green deal is a loan, not a grant, but it deals with the capital... I believe there may be some grants in Scotland.0

Not quite so.
There are 2 options I *think*
One, where the capital is reclaimed back off your fuel bills.
T'other gives you £1K back if you tick enough boxes0 -
The latter is the Green Deal Home Improvement Fund, which has just been closed for new applications so I didn't bother mentioning it. It's also not the Green Deal, it just uses the same naming for maximum confusion. Not quite so.

There was also Green Deal cashback for a while but the GDHIF replaced that.0 -
The green deal is not a loan, the green deal is a group of incentives designed to encourage energy efficient home improvements.
The incentives include Cashback offers which come and go (green deal Cashback, green deal home improvement fund) grants that come and go (energy companies obligation, cero, Cisco, hhhcro, affordable warmth) and a finance option (green deal finance).
The latter is a loan and the smallest part of the green deal but for some reason the one people associate the green deal with the most.
