Just leave it out then or instead of the wine, add the same amount of stock (vegetable or fish) and use a little more seasoning or a different vegetable instead of the onion.

If you don't have any, I'd recommend you get some Woucestershire sauce or Hendersons Relish. You can put it in just about anything, and it's amazing on cheese on toast.

We have Worcestershire sauce, I love it! I love anchovies so that's probably why lol

at the risk of being flamed - just wondering what peoples thoughts are on protein shakes? I bought a bag from myprotein.com and I have started drinking one a day lately (normally mid morning when i start getting the 11'isis snack attacks) :o. I tend to make mine with milk and i really enjoy them.

Obviously they are not that healthy but they do the job by making me feel fuller so i then dont start eating biscuits etc (although i am avoiding all sweet treats this week )

Have snacked on an apple and seeds this PM.. I do like seeds. I used to hate them but have developed quite a taste for them (especially pumpkin seeds which to me have a lovely nutty taste)

I eat like a fat person ONE day a week

    I have the sedentary lifestyle of a disabled person, I don't not exercise because I'm lazy, I don't exercise because I can't!

Ah,we are backed to the disabled status again.
Guess you managed to do better research for the benefits application 2nd time around.

They aren't really unhealthy, they are a good way of getting extra protein in and if it stops you reaching for the biscutes then it's all good

Really wanted tuna risotto today but can't find a recipe that doesn't involve something we don't have, either white wine or onion!

Would it make much of a difference if you just left those out of the menu, Tink2?
Dear Lord, I am calling upon you today for your divine guidance and help. I am in crisis and need a supporting hand to keep me on the right and just path. My mind is troubled but I will strive to keep it set on you, as your infinite wisdom will show me the way to a just and right resolution. Amen.
