To the OP, I wish you well, but I'll leave you to the professionals because clearly no one else is entitled to have any input on a thread.
I also didn't think one person could speak for an entire forum when they say they are !!!!ing "everyone" off. If I'm !!!!ing everyone off, they can PM me or they can say it themselves on any thread if they are big enough and brave enough.
They don't need you to be their mouthpiece. But I will tell you something, going by what you've just posted, Id say what you posted just then has more to do with how you currently feel about your own life and nothing to do with me and I won't stick around on here to be attacked by you for no reason.
Ive got no desire to get into any debate with you. I cannot be bothered, you arent worth it.
purpleshoes, I would hope that you continue posting here on this thread as I have been enjoying reading your postings.Dear Lord, I am calling upon you today for your divine guidance and help. I am in crisis and need a supporting hand to keep me on the right and just path. My mind is troubled but I will strive to keep it set on you, as your infinite wisdom will show me the way to a just and right resolution. Amen.0 -

Erm....after your Frankie & Benny menu choices, I can't imagine there are many people who think you are eating too little.
Too be blunt (and possibly unnecessarily cruel):
you eat like a fat person
you think like a fat person
you have the self-control of a fat person
you have the sedentary lifestyle of a fat person.
You are therefore destined to remain a fat person.
Make some REAL changes or accept the above.0 -

A poster, earlier in the thread, made a very good comment, in that it is not just reducing calories but the mind-set which needs changing too, in order to lose weight.
I think that was very important as it is not just about the food, so, how does someone start thinking like a slim person, so that they start eating like a slim person, has the self-control of a slim person, has the active lifestyle of a slim person?
It is very clear from this and previous postings that Tink2 does not wish to remain overweight. Clearly, yo-yo dieting is not very good to the body or mind. Self-sabotage is also very destructive and this happens the world over.
I do not understand cheat days - why undo all the good which has been done through the week? That does not make sense to me and yet, so any do it. I read an old weightwatchers thread where people set a cheat day on the day they weighed in so that they could work it off in the week but were then upset when the scales did not record a good loss.
Reducing calories in the week will help but that will depend on how much is eaten on a cheat day. If the calories on a cheat day outnumber those which have been banked through the week, all the good work has been undone.
Why do people do it?
It is self-destruction, self-sabotage and almost self-infantilizing.
How do people get beyond that. It seems it is not as straightforward as eating less. No.
That said, I do hope Tink2 is successful, long-term, with her weight loss as it is clear that she is unhappy with her current self.Dear Lord, I am calling upon you today for your divine guidance and help. Frankie and benny do a whole low calorie section.
Including a seafood pizza, in addition they have a good salad range. For desserts they do a kids fresh fruit selection (pud) and veg side plate which adults can purchase for a small price.
Even there you can have a 3 course at under 1000 calories.0 -

I said in my previous post. You get a life!
You stop making food the focus of your day.
You stop living from mealtime to mealtime.
You stop seeing a night out as a change to stuff your face.
It's obvious that Tinks' main obsession is food. My suggestion that she gets out and about and finds some other interests/distractions was met with her usual excuses and a negative response and not something she was prepared to explore.
Look at the latest trip to the cinema - it was all about where to eat and then what to eat. It wasn't about the film or spending time with her OH, it was all about the food.
In contrast, I met a friend who I'd not seen in ages last night. We went out for dinner. The waitress tried to take our order about 3 times but we were too busy chatting to even look at the menu. We just had mains and coffees. Mine wasn't even that nice. It doesn't really matter though. It was a fantastic evening catching up and laughing with an old friend. The evening revolved around the friendship, not the food.0 -

I have cheat days, my normal cheat days go to my TDEE or within 200 odd calories over it. The calculator also uses age rather than metabolic age - If I put my metabolic age I am just about right on my TDEE on a cheat day. On a binge once a year cheat day I can put away an extra 500 above TDEE but I usually fit in an extra fast so I do 4:3 not 5:2, guess my cheats are not so bad.The truth may be out there, but the lies are inside your head. I would think of a cheat day as having one , or at the most 2, treats - a bar of chocolate, a packet of crisps or a small piece of cake eg
If I was out for a meal or at a party I would just have a small portion of something I fancied, something that I didn't have every day. That is a treat, not pigging out on thousands of calories.0
