Because I want to keep the foods in I like
If I upped my calories my meal out would send me over
Its very likely that your meal out is already sending you over going by the calorific content of the meal you posted earlier on. I think you need to make some decisions about eating more calories during the week, having your blow out and accepting that your weight loss will take longer. Or as someone else suggested, cutting the cheat meal calories.0 -

I've set myself 1lb a week to lose, it's not like I'm in a rush0 -

No, of course you aren't, but my point is as Ive said a couple of times, to allow for this cheat meal, you are already cutting calories to allow for the extra cheat meal calories. At some point, you could end up eating 1200 cals a day or 1300 cals a day to get those cheat meal calories in. Its not a lot. If your cals are already at 1917 and you have a couple of stones to go, two and a half stones to go and you are already well under them on 6 days a week just now, how low do you think you are going to have to reduce them by to get to your target?
Can you see yourself being happy eating 1250 cals a day or 1300 cals a day for the rest of your life, in order to stay at your target weight?0 -

Yes I'm aware of that and I will think of what to do when the time comes0 -

I think you need to be thinking about this now. Your options could be, try some light exercise so that your TDEE goes up (Im aware you've said that this is difficult for you given health issues). Cutting down on the cheat meal calories (if you google frankie and bennys they have a number of light meal options). Having a cheat meal less than once a week and try and increase the amount of nutrient dense food you eat so that you get more bang for your buck so to speak. I know its not easy. Ive hit several plateaus over the last while and Im generally very active. I think Id find it very tough eating 1200 cals some days. You have made changes to your food habits and for that you should be applauded, but it does look like you could still be tweaking a few things as you lose weight. Losing is often the easy part for people, its maintaining that many people find harder.0 -

There's no need to think about it when still losing
But some other things I could do
Eat no extra calories on the day I've gone for a meal, do 5:2, try and convince the OH to share a starter, instead of going for a meal every time go to greggs or M&S and get a sandwich, bag of crisps and a drink0 -

Its about your choices as well. If your OH can eat calorie laden food without putting on an ounce, you dont need to join him. What I mean is, he should understand that if you want to succeed at this, that sharing that starter or you having lower cal food than him even on a cheat meal day will be beneficial for you. It shouldnt matter if hes sitting with a pizza dripping with cheese for example and you are having one thats lower calorie, you should be able to continue to make choices that benefit you every day of the week.
If he truly wants to support you in this, he will understand that for you it's going to be much harder to eat even that cheat meal than for him.
You could have a cheat meal at home, cook it. Eat more than you normally would but still make it healthy. If 5:2 doesnt make you feel well, I'd avoid like the plague to be honest.0 -

To be quite honest, if you're taking paracetamol at the rate you claim to be on the other thread you won't have to worry about weight issues for very much longer. You appear to have far major issues to contend with and I'm seriously worried for your health
I really wish I could do something to help but it's like talking to a brick wall :wall:“You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you can never please all of the people all of the time.”0
