Yes ! Anyone who steals from folk who honestly need support , should be prosecuted . I am happy to pay money into the public pot to help people not as lucky as me . These sort fraudulent claims costs everyone in the country , rich and genuinely people who need help !:coffee:0

Theft is theft is theft. Report them. No question.0

Yes.
This will give needy people the money not cheating people. Why ask question in the first place?0 -
They are both drug addicts and i know from a simple, free check on 192.com that they are on the electoral roll at separate addresses.
The dilemma for me is that im simply not comfortable with grassing anybody up. On the other hand all those who say there'd be more in the pot for genuine claimants cant be faulted.
If they are drug addicts the children would suffer anyway!
So report them. Children taken into care. Drug addicts rehabilitated and put in jail. Simple!0 -
In an ideal world everyone, from lucrative businesses to inadequate junkies, would pay their taxes and only claim what they were entitled to , but they don't. If everyone played fair, honest people would have a bigger slice of the cake, but life ain't like that. You have a chance to do your bit to help make life fairer for those that deserve it AND the couple you know might get some help to clean up their act. Morally there is no choice you should help people even if they may not appreciate it immediately.0

I'm not sure why this is a dilemma. If you are certain then you should 'grass them up' as they are stealing from you,me and all the other taxpayers in the country. I'm also confused as to why you are hesitating to report them when you clearly have a very low opinion of them, as you describe them as drug addicts and 'wasters'.
I have been on benefits myself for several years due to an injury, and now I am working part time ,and claiming some benefits. It would never occur to me to 'cheat the system',although I know there are ways in which I could.
Many years ago I worked in the Benefits Office of my local council and saw for myself just how many people do try to cheat the system. When I left there I worked in a shop where a neighbour worked, and realised she was claiming housing benefit fraudulently.I didn't hesitate to report her. She never knew it was me who reported her and we are still friends today.0 -

Seriously? How can you report someone for fraud and then treat them as a friend? Frankly benefits fraud is rife around where I live and I don't bother reporting it because I don't believe a blind thing would be done about it. Yes it annoys me but on a relatively low level compared to other issues. I would cheerfully report strangers if I thought it was worth it but I would never report someone I thought of as a friend and I could never look someone in the eye knowing that I'd sneakily reported them.0 -
No dilemma if you ask me. I don't work hard to pay for benefit cheats to sit at home all day. Give it to people that deserve it.0

Yes Yes Yes!!!!
Y should they get away with it.0
