Go and knock on the door and tell them you know what they're up to. Ask them for a cut of the dosh or else they're busted. :money:0

I'm not sure some people are getting the point of this! It isn't about corporations avoiding tax or what we think of the government/banks. It's about whether 2 people are fraudulently claiming benefits that they are not entitled to.
Quite clearly they are. I don't even consider reporting them to be 'grassing them up'. You are reporting a crime; not 'telling teacher' about something minor. Benefits are for the genuinely needy, not the selfish and the lazy.0 -
You should really dob them in.... but I don't think you will.
However, if they do lose their benefit, there will not be more in the pot for other needy cases, it will just go back into the government coffers to be spent on, well, overseas aid where a lot just disappears, other peoples wars where a lot just disappears, failing financial institutions where a lot just disappears.
You get the gist?0 -
There's no dilemma here. This pair are ripping all of us off. Report them immediately.0

They are both drug addicts and i know from a simple, free check on 192.com that they are on the electoral roll at separate addresses.
The dilemma for me is that im simply not comfortable with grassing anybody up. On the other hand all those who say there'd be more in the pot for genuine claimants cant be faulted.0 -
Yes, do them!
They are cheats, thieves and deserve prosecution and orders to repay it all.:eek:0 -
Grass on them you said your self they have never worked there entire life. I dont know if you work but if you do why should you work and they dont.
Grass them up.Nobody has signatures anymore everyone has chip and pin!0 -
Report them anonymously. Giving information of a possible fraud is the responsible thing to do. The investigators find out IF they have done anything. I don't see a dilemma.0

Do they have children?
The reason I ask is that previously you mention they are drug addicts. If their income drops their spend on drugs will remain the same. The amount they spend on feeding/clothing their children will drop, meaning the children will ultimately suffer.
The other thing to bear in mind is that if their income drops are they the sort of people who will mug people burgle etc. to feed their habit? This will have a detrimental effect on the area in which you live.
I guess that's why this is a dilemma!0 -
Yes they are breaking the law, so report them.0
