Hello Goldie,
Thought I would return the stalk
A survey site I use is Viewsbank, they do short surveys and you get paid via Paypal once you reach £6 but also do mystery shopping opportunities, I earned £35 from one last month,if you are happy for me to refer you just send me a PM.
I am planning on getting back into more surveys etc too and comping if I can.Now a SAHM trying to earn some spare pennies each month0 -
Hi Goldie, just caught up, sorry to hear your still experiencing the vertigo..
Very happy to hear that you are considering retiring at Christmas though, what a lovely end to the year and an absolutely brilliant start to 2015 it would be
e.t.a. if you like reviewing things then try Bzzagent or The Orchard, you sign up for free trials of products to test and write reviews of them on the website. A lot of times you get Tesc0 vouchers for certain products so it would be handy if you have a nearby Tesc0..
xMortgage amount at 31/12/2011 £166,050 now £0 as at Sept 21 - 15yrs 4 months early.0 -

Sorry to hear about the Vertigo Goldie - rubbish
I really wouldn't be surprised if the stressful work contributed to it - not at all. Really hope there is some way to strike a balance whilst you are still there.
Woohoo to retirement this year. What a great focus to have - five months to goDebt remaining:
Mortgage - £117,759 (£134,600, Nov 2013)

Hi goldiegirl , I've just finished catching up to the end of your Diary. Sorry about the horrible vertigo you have been suffering with, it sounds a nightmare. I have has tinnitus for the last two years it's very annoying at times.
Congratulations on deciding to retire at Xmas , what plans do have for next year ?MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0 -
Hi, Newgirly, thanks for dropping by. I'm not sure if I have commented on your diary yet, but I have read some of it. I was born in Essex and lived there until I was 21, so that's what originally made me notice your diary.
Sorry to hear you have tinnitus too. Mine is quieter these days, and if I'm busy I sometimes don't notice it, but it can be annoying sometimes when I'm trying to go to sleep.
As for plans for next year- we have a holiday booked in March , but apart from that it's a blank canvas at the moment. But we hope to have days out, hopefully using our National Trust and English Heritage membership ( not been using this much recently), we want to do much more walking, get to grips with clearing out the garage and shed, more gardening, especially fruit and veg growing. But most of all we want to try and escape routines, and some days not do anything at all !
So far this weekend I've sold 3 things on ebay.
Two things are on behalf of my friend, low value items, but things that needed a lot of packaging. So that means I've got rid of a couple of boxes and a lot of packaging from my stash, which is pleasing.
The other thing I've sold is a bundle of my old postcards. I've been selling them off in batches of 100. It's always interesting to see what the sale price is- it's varied from between £1.25 to £11.50. This week it's £9.50, which is a good result.
My share of my friend's things is a princely £2.95, which has already been transferred to the HAF.
I've got 4 jigsaws ending this evening, and three will sell, the other has a watcher.
I tend to use the proceeds from jigsaw auctions to by more jigsaws, the proceeds of clothes auctions to buy more clothes and the proceeds of other auctions I keep in paypal to buy household odds and ends.
So the postcards will be used towards some batteries that we need.
It's a lovely sunny day today, the washing is dry already. I'll do the ironing later, and might spend some time sitting in the garden this afternoonEarly retired - 18th December 2014

Hi goldiegirl
Thanks for stopping by my shiny new diary
Having a fairly agenda free year (holiday excepting) for when you retire sounds great. I see it as a lovely blank canvas that you can choose to fill with activities that you want to do rather than have to do. I'm excited for you I think!
Your afternoon sounds lovely - I think a tipple of some sort to go with the chill time in the garden is the way to go0 -
Hello,
I am sorry that you have had the vertigo again, but very pleased that it looks as if you will be retiring at the end of the year. I hope you can make it happen, and where there is a will there is a way. Very good luck,
Squirrel xPaid off mortgage nine years early in 2013. Now picking and choosing our work to fit in with the rest of our lives!
Still thrifty though, after all these years:D0 -

Thank you - it is exciting, a big step to take, but I'm just about ready.
It was very nice this afternoon in the garden, nice and breezy. I had a lemon squash as my tipple!
