Well.....it wasn't as bad as all that:rotfl:
I didn't get the very rude cow, which helped, but it turned out that all the paperwork was there waiting collection.
There was no real answer as to whey it wasn't there when I had called as arranged last week, or why they had told me it was posted to me, and no apology was forthcoming either, but frankly just relieved to get the papers.
So I can have the tests done tomorrow at the local health centre, which is a pleasant walk away. A couple of the tests are fasting tests, so I won't be able to eat anything after dinner this evening.
So all's well that ends well, but I'm a bit fed up with myself for getting so worried about it.
Anyway, on with the housework!Early retired - 18th December 2014

Hi Goldie
Really glad all your appointments have been sorted and you are feeling a bit better. At least you know everything has been planned in.
I also really hope that you have a fantastic holiday and that you have time to chill.

After all that stress on the weekend I am glad your appointments are finally sorted. Hope the results help the doctors make some headway with helping you. And don't stress yourself out! Easy to say...I do it myself, but really it hurts no one but you.

Hi MCI, Mouche and greent :hello:
It is a cruise, but a river cruise.
We're going from Nuremburg to Budapest on the Danube. I've been checking reports, and the river level is very low, and at the moment the ships can't navigate part of the river
So the ships are going up to a certain point, passengers are being taken by coach from one port to the next port, then the cruise continues on a different ship.
There's a real possibility that this will happen on our cruise. It wouldn't be as relaxing as we'd hoped, but this sort of thing is out of anybody's control. But at least we can still go on holiday, which is the main thing :j I'm starting to get pre-holiday excitementEarly retired - 18th December 2014

Quite a busy day today.
I've been out for my blood tests, have come back to have my breakfast (a couple of the tests were the fasting sort). I'm now going to pop out to the shops, as I need some moisturiser. I've recently bought a new brand, but I don't think it agrees with me. I want to buy some more of my old brand.
I'll also pick up a few more Euros. I've currently got about £83 worth, and I think I'll get £75 worth. We are not planning on spending much while we are away, but I think we'll feel more comfortable having enough just in case money with us. Anything we don't use can be taken away for our Christmas week cruise.
Back home for a while, then off to the hairdressers, for a cut and colour.
Then back home for another couple of hours and then out to tea with two friends.
So, busy and spendy, but some days are like that.Early retired - 18th December 2014

It sounds a lovely day to me, sometimes its nice to spend a bit on yourself. I'm going on holiday this week to and I've done nothing!!! I've not even made a list yet, I guess I should be doing that now rather than mooching about on MSE!

I'm so glad you're enjoying your day today Goldie - you've had a rough time of it lately and it makes me feel so happy that you are still managing to lead a normal life and enjoy your pre-holiday. Hope there is a lot of rain and river level comes up soon!Mortgage (original/ current):193,000 (23/09/11)/ £102,500 (07/11/2019)

It's not often I want rain for a holiday, but heavy rain in Germany over the next few days will be very welcome, as long as it stops by Saturday:rotfl:Early retired - 18th December 2014
