Another jigsaw fan, though of the much smaller variety :rotfl:
We did a lovely 1000 piece one of Waterloo Station, in 2 halves, a century apart, a while back, really enjoyed it :T
Opposite problem here at the mo - strawbs season almost over, but cherries are ace and watermelons are €1 at side of the road :TA positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0

I feel really hungry now, reading about all that fruit!
Not much to report tonight - just a standard day at work.
People have already forgotten that they need to talk up a bit when they talk to me, getting bored of asking them to repeat themselves.
Still haven't heard anything from the doctor's about the blood tests the consultant wanted me to get done. I phoned the surgery last Wednesday and was told they'd be in touch.
I must admit, I've put it on the backburner this week, but I'll have to phone again Monday. I hate phoning, as the person who answers always sounds as if she thinks you are being troublesome.
I don't think these blood tests are going to show anything wrong, but they still need to be done just to rule out any underlying causes.
It'd a good thing these tests aren't for anything urgent. I've not had an awful lot to do with my GP's surgery over the years, and I'm not really impressed with their showing so farEarly retired - 18th December 2014

It is awful when you get sucked into labyrinthine NHS systems. You feel so powerless.
Best wishes,

Still thrifty though, after all these years:D0 -

That's exactly it - you don't know where you are in the system, and when you try to ask, you are treated as if you are being difficult!
Another working week done.
:j
I'm very tempted to count up how many working days I have until my new planned end date in March. I won't, because I don't want to wish my life away, but I think it's probably less than 80 days !

I was really busy today and the office was really noisy, as it was the Charity Day, and everybody gets over excited about decorating the office and dressing up. It was so noisy, that it made it even more difficult to hear people, so I just sort of kept my head down and got on with what I had to do.
We've off on our outing to the Harry Potter Studios tomorrow. We pick the coach up at 9am, which means I won't have to get up at the crack of dawn. Hoping for a good nights sleep so I can be fresh for tomorrow.Early retired - 18th December 2014

Had a fab day at Harry Potter.
It was great to see all the sets and props, so much detail had gone into it, quite amazing really.
As an adult I didn't quite like to have a go at riding a broomstick or practicing my wand craft... but all the children loved it.
I particularly liked the set of the Great Hall, The Burrow and Diagon Alley.
There was an amazing gift shop there. But it did illustrate how far down the road of needs vs wants I have travelled.
Back in the 90's when we had about 3 or 4 theme park holidays in the USA, we always bought back t shirts and other souvenirs. Only to find we'd wear the t shirts for a few times and then they'd go in the charity bag and all the other things went in a cupboard, only to be seen again in the last few years when I eventually eBayed them.
But, there was a fantastic array of things to buy. I was tempted by a Slytherin T Shirt, a Slytherin House scarf, a Professor Snape wand, a Scabbers stuffed toy, a key ring and a note book. But didn't buy anything, especially as I'm not paying £26.95 for a t shirt I'll hardly wear!
Greent, I suggest your mum takes some cash with her.... for a child that gift shop is a wonderland!
Anyway, back to normality today. I have a very large pile of washing which I intend to get done and dried on line, as I think it's going to rain during the week. I should get quite a bit of ironing done too.Early retired - 18th December 2014

Another week starts here.
Over the weekend I had 5 eBay sales out of the 8 listed, so still very respectable. I was invited to the free listing weekend, but didn't bother to list anything else. I always stop eBaying at least two weeks before I go on holiday, otherwise I could run in to problems with late payers, people whose parcel didn't turn up and other queries.
General plans
Post eBay parcels
Get towels washed and on the line.
Do remainder of ironing, not much left.
Do house work, but some can be carried forward to tomorrow.
Rationalise stash of boxes and other packaging. As I'll be doing less eBaying in future, not so much packaging is required.
Phone doctors to enquire about my blood tests. I'm really tempted just to leave it..... But I know the consultant wanted it done, so I'll just have to push the GP (sigh)
Anyway, better get on with it!Early retired - 18th December 2014

So far a very productive day.
I've done the majority of the housework that I wanted to do, just some to do tomorrow.
I've gone through all the boxes I was stockpiling, just in case I sold something just the right size to fit in that box. I've got rid of over half of them, and the ones I have left are of a useful size. Likewise, I've been keeping old padded envelopes, just in case I could re-use them. About three quarters of these have gone, leaving me with just a few of each size.
Fired up by enthusiasm, I've also had a tidy of the kitchen cupboards. I've been buying things when I see them on offer, and just shoving them in spare spaces - now I've got them neat and tidy and I know exactly where everything is.
I was still looking to tidy things, so I gathered the remaining things I want to eBay, and have stowed them neatly in a cupboard. These things are both mine, and things I'm eBaying for a friend. I'm hoping they won't stay there for long. If I can't eBay them within a few months, I'll send to the charity shop, my friend says it's ok to do that with her stuff.
When this cupboard is empty, I intend it to house my stash of things like loo roll and washing liquid, bought when I find them on offers
Phoned the doctor - they say have no sign of the letter from the consultant. So I've taken my letter up to the surgery, they've taken a copy and I should be able to collect my form in 'a couple of days'. Realistically, I won't get the tests done until next week. Good thing I'm not seriously ill!
Will do the bit of ironing tonight, and then relax.Early retired - 18th December 2014
