You know those people on the train, who cradle their phone in their hands and constantly keep looking at it?

I understand what it's all about now - I'm getting very attached to my phone already! :rotfl:

Hot again today, so we've been inside most of the time apart from a walk this morning. We had some thunder and lightening last night, although I think it was worse further north.

We're still getting a few strawberries. I think we'll have to increase our crop for next year, as they are very popular here.

We picked our first courgette this week, which went into a vegetarian chilli. We have doubled our courgette planting this year (two plants!) and I think we'll get a good harvest as there are loads of flowers.

Well done re the phone Goldie :)
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!

Well, the phone has been paired with the car, so I can now play my music on the car speakers, which is rather cool.

For the first year we get some other services free of charge, which we can access over the Internet, using the phone's connection. At first we couldn't get an Internet connection, but after a quick google I realised I had to enable my personal hotspot. Up until a few days ago it would never occurred to me that I even had a personal hotspot.

It all seems to be working ok. One of the things we can get is real time traffic info, but we're not 100% sure if this is working yet. Trouble is, we haven't had to go anywhere with traffic, so it's had nothing to report. We'll have to see what happens on a longer journey.

In any event, it'll be used sparingly, as I don't want it all to eat into my data allowance.

But all in all, loving the phone and the car!

Apart from this nothing much to report, just local walks, trying new recipes from time to time and just generally enjoying things.

Had a bit of excitement last night.

I did a You Gov survey, and it pushed me over the 5000 points.

    Therefore I've requested my £50:j

It's taken me a year to earn this £50.

I was doing fine up until March, when I had 4000 points, then it went really quiet, but the tap has been turned on again, and I've earnt 500 points in the last month.

I was going to give up surveys all together, but I may start again with You Gov, as I'm never screened out with them, so they are less annoying.
