Just to add something else to the mix - have you looked at Dacia? The Sandero Stepway is a nice car and a lot of spec for the money :T.
I had a look at the Dacia website, and, as you say, it's a lot of car for the money. But the dealer is miles away, so it probably would be awkward for servicing etc. If they were nearer, I'd probably have a closer look.
I've cracked on with the some of the admin work I wanted to do.
I've completed all my R85's so I can get all my interest paid gross, so they are all ready to be sent off on Tuesday.
While I was looking at the Inland Revenue site, I realized that Mr Goldie is also eligible for gross interest, so I've given him a load of forms to complete as well !
One of my plans for the year was to make the most of our money, so this ties in nicely.
I have free listing this Easter on eBay, so I'll be getting on with some listing now, to tie in with the decluttering and raising additional funds plan for the year.
Newgirly, from talking online to other 'special diet' people, the key person is the head waiter, who takes your food order each night. If you get a good one, they'll really work hard to get you food that you like, and a good variety. On Christmas, on Arcadia, my Head Waiter was brilliant, but this time it wasn't so good. I've sent quite a long email to P&O with feedback, so it'll be interesting to receive their comments.
I'll get a few photos up in the next couple of days, as I want to start sorting them all out:)Early retired - 18th December 2014

Oh wow! Its huge! I love atriums like that - there's a big one at John Lewis in London of that sort. But on a ship! Gorgeous
And the party looks brilliant.
2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
The ships are getting bigger and bigger.
There's some that have more than 6000 passengers and have central areas almost like Main Street USA in Disneyland.
I don't think I'd travel on a ship that big, but I'd like to look round one of the mega ships, just out of interest.
I've done my first big mega shop at Adsa online. The ordering process seemed easy enough. It'll be delivered on Tuesday afternoon.
I'm going to type a list of all the store cupboard staples that we use, to make it easier for the next time that I do a mega shop, it'll be helpful to have something to prompt me.
Also I'm going to do a list of all the meals that we have, as a prompt for when I do meal planning. I also intend to go through my recipe books, to add to my cooking repertoire.
I love a good list!Early retired - 18th December 2014

Unbelievably, it's a year ago today that I started my diary.
I can't believe the time has gone so quickly. At the time I started the diary I was hoping to stop work around about now, and I commented that in a years time I'd be in my last days at work.
I'm so glad I stopped work earlier, I just couldn't imagine still being at work!
I'm really glad I started the diary, as it was an eventful period in my life. I'm also glad that I joined in with our community
I've had my first Asda online delivery
I called it a mega shop, that was probably an exaggeration. But the main aim was to fill my freezer up, so it wasn't the cheapest shop.
There were only 14 separate entries on the list.
Of those 14 entries, they had to substitute three items
I did an internet shop weekly with Sainsbury's from about 2007 to 2013, and substitutions were rare, and when they happened it was only 1 item in any one week.
So, I'm not 100% convinced that I'll use Asda again. I'll see how I feel when the stocks get low againEarly retired - 18th December 2014

Goldie, I tick the general option for no substitutions, with every supermarket. Because of the way I shop, any substitution is almost bound to be dearer per 100g etc, and I'm not prepared to pay for that!
Fancy, a year ago! You managed to get to retirement really early, excellent!2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -

Hi Goldie, I've been shopping with Ocado for about 5 years and last week I got my first substitution ever but the one and only time I have shopped with Tescos online they substituted several items.
Had to laugh, my OH's brother works as a delivery driver for a major supermarket and we were talking about substitutions and how they are generated by a computer but the picker has to take a view on whether they are appropriate.
He reckons the most bizarre was someone who ordered water filters (for their brita) and got delivered water crackers instead0 -
We use tesco delivery fairly regularly and sometimes get one substitution but rarely more and usually don't have any. However, when they do substitute, it always works in our favour. Also I complain about everything, even a bruised apple, so we do quite well out of the refunds and vouchers etc"It is often said that before you die your life passes before your eyes.
