Here I am, back again! :)

We had a really good time. The ship is lovely, although with 3600 passengers it was very busy. The weather was reasonable, only two days with rain, which wasn't bad for March.

I only had one real cause for complaint - some of the food. I'm grateful that they cater for the low salt diet, but they served all my food with the same vegetables - boiled potatoes, broccoli, and carrots. It was very plain, in fact plainer than the food I have at home. I've given them feedback, so hopefully they might give special diet people more variety in future.

But I have to say, I won't be eating broccoli for some time :rotfl:

I've been wading through the washing and ironing, and should be more or less finished tomorrow, then I'll make a plan what I need to do in April, and settle back to normal life.

I will get a few photos posted :)

Hiya! Yes, that does need some feedback - in fact, I might have given them some feedback at the time :) Was there salad too? Anywhere else you could nick some veggies from?

Looking forward to the photies :)

This was in the main dining room, so I had to have what I was given!

I did have a little word while I was on board, and, to be fair, they did do a good chicken biryani for me and a nice beef goulash, but on other nights it slipped back to plain food again. Suitable feedback has been given.

I'm just going to do the last of my ironing - this windy weather has been great for getting the washing dry.

I've also been thinking ahead to April and what I'd like to get done in the coming month.

I feel a list coming on

Buildings and contents insurance expires 1st May, so get quotes from various providers to see if a saving can be mad

For the new tax year, register my savings accounts for gross interest - I have accounts with 6 different banks, so it'll take a bit of time

When our P60's come in check tax paid, and ask for refund ( I'm sure we'll have overpaid due to stopping work half way through the year)

An interest rate expires on one of my savings accounts - shop around for replacement rate

Go though holiday photos and put the best ones on iPad to show people who want to see them ( and post some on here)

eBay - prepare a couple of listings a day, so I have them ready when free listing days arrive

    Get my de-cluttering mojo back

Do a big internet restock shop

Look into buying a new car:eek: Our current car is starting to cost too much to maintain

This seems to be quite a lot of stuff, so I'll try and so a little something everyday. I'm hoping this will be the last of the 'busy' months, and that we'll have less admin things to do from May onwards.

Will also gradually catch up on everyone's diaries, but that is leisure!

    Hello again.

I've been doing a few things from my list. I'm sure that things take longer to do these days. I'm not sure whether this is because I take my time because I have more time to spare or I'm slower, or because things are just so much more complicated. A combination of all three I should think!

We've booked a test drive for a new Toyota Yaris for next Thursday.

I have mixed feelings about this.

I've had my current Yaris since I bought it new in 2003. It's taken me through 12 years of constant change, and I'm very attached to it.

But it is now needing a lot more money spent on it, so it really is time for it to go.

My head knows all this, but my heart is not quite ready to say goodbye!

Also, I feel a bit stressed about the buying process, as I feel I've got to try and haggle (too much reading MSE)

The car situation seems to be one more thing on my list of 'things to get out of the way'

Just to add something else to the mix - have you looked at Dacia? The Sandero Stepway is a nice car and a lot of spec for the money :T.
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

Hi gg glad you had a nice time on the cruise , still need those pictures to nosey at though ;). I had the same experience as on both mini crises we went on (over a year apart) I had the same veggie dinner option each night :rotfl:

Good luck with the car buying, I think the time you are being makes a difference in hagglng ie. Just before the new reg's come out or if you can't fit in with that ,the very end of the month as they want to boost their personal sales figures . plus often you can haggle over the phone with dealers further away and price match locally or even get them delivered to you. Good luck :)
