Good luck with your ebaying!
In a few weeks time I'll be in a frenzy of eBaying!:rotfl:
If anybody watches the news today, there's a lot of coverage of the ship that I'll be sailing on, on Saturday. The Queen named her today.
It's very exciting to watch it all, knowing that'll I'll be onboard in a few days timeEarly retired - 18th December 2014

Hi GG, exciting times - hope you have a lovely holiday!0

Yes, really looking forward to it now. Tomorrow, I'll be getting things out, ready for packing.
Today we had HM carrot and coriander soup, with rolls for dinner. We're happy to live moderately most of the time, so that we can have some holidays.
M&S have got a sale on at the moment. We looked in, and I saw a couple of things that I had really liked, a couple weeks ago when we had our 20% off day shopping blitz. I had nearly bought them back then, but felt I had spent enough at that time. But, as they were in the sale, and in my size, I felt it was fate, and bought them. I'll be using money raised from eBay sales, so it's not money from our monthly budget:)Early retired - 18th December 2014

Just had an email from Ancestry, I have some more hints from the Essex Parish Registers for some very close ancestors. I hope there's another free access day soon, as I really want to take a look!
I was reading on the Boost Your Income area of the board that the Nectar 'hives' have been closed down, so it must have been a trial of some sort. Ah well, it was a nice idea - hopefully it'll be introduced for everyone at some point.
We are getting quite good at this mindful spending lark. We decided we needed a new watering can, as the spray head was perished and blocked. When we looked, we noticed they did replacement spray heads at the quarter of the cost of a new can, so we just bought the spray head. Simple really, but I'm sure that a few years ago we would have blindly bought the whole can!Early retired - 18th December 2014

Hello everyone.
I'm off on my cruise tomorrow, so the end of the financial month has come a little early for March.
At one point it felt like we were spending all the time, but I've totted up the figures and it's come out quite reasonably in the end
This month, we've only spend 72% of our income on our normal budgeted items. There were some extras - the shrubs being cut back and the fence being mended, but even including these items our expenditure is 93% of income, still very acceptable.
We also bought some clothes, but these were paid for from the Little Xtra Fund, which is there for the little extras.
As we only had a 3 week month, we only spent £135 at the supermarket, so that is very low. Our freezer stocks are now reduced, so we'll need to do a restock in April.
We are now almost packed, just my dresses to go in, and I'll be charging up the electricals shortly - So many gadgets needed these days! :rotfl:Early retired - 18th December 2014

There's all sizes of good news on here, from the spray head to the actual cruise, and lots of points in between
Have a lovely, lovely time - great that you're charging the electricals, but remember to take the chargers anyway - my camera would certainly need it (and my kindle!).
Have fun2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Have a wonderful time xPaid off mortgage nine years early in 2013. Now picking and choosing our work to fit in with the rest of our lives!
Still thrifty though, after all these years:D0 -
Thank you:)
Fully packed now, including all chargers. It'd be a bad thing for me not to be able my Kindle:eek:
