Ds2 has been screaming and has trashed the house.

I'm making him put things back

Good for you DM, I did a similar thing with my DS when he trashed my room. I told him that I would count to 20 and any toys left on the floor would go in a BIG BLACK BIN LINER.

So I got said BIN LINER and then started counting, when I got to 20 he was frantically slinging in back into the drawers, so I asked him if he wanted another 20 seconds....well after 4 lots of 20 seconds my floor was clear and ready to hoover "that was hard work, I would have really really cried if you threw my toys away!"

Funnily enough he has been as good as gold putting away when playing in my room since :rotfl:

Thanks for the company....took me a lot longer than expected to get back on here, but there is some stuff to strike off. Right time to just see where I have got up to -

Monday ~ Stairs, Landing & Bathrooms
    15 minutes...

    [STRIKE]Declutter floors!
    Mop/vacuum/sweep floors [/STRIKE]
    30 minutes to spare...
[STRIKE]Clean the bath, basins, shower trays and loo's
    Wipe the window legdes[/STRIKE]
    Got an hour...
Wipe all the paintwork up the stairs and on the landing
    Wash towels and flannels
Shine the mirrors and wash the windows
    Extras
    [STRIKE]Empty and wash out bins[/STRIKE]
Wipe your washing line over and wash your pegs
Sort out your nail polish and paint your toenails
[STRIKE]Put everything away that doesn't really belong on the landing[/STRIKE]

I have also whizzed the hoover round DS/DD2 room, DD4 and my room again.......it is now strategically placed inside DD3 room so she can get it smelling a whole lot less like a pit

Also hoovered LR, and hallway again, and degibbled a few toys out of the DR and opened the windows in there for a bit to air it out. Tablecloth currently in WM.

just having a cuppa before I get the cleaning trug out to do some internal windows, mirrors and maybe some other bits and bobs

just had a best phone call, DS1s best friend in the world moved away a few months ago and theyve had to keep in touch by phone. Hes just rung to say hes sitting outside DS2s place of work to surprise him as hes come back for a visit. hes such a lovely lad i really cant wait for them both to get home. better finish tidying and think about throwing some cakes in the oven.

have worked out how to get the priniter to start working again, it was being awkward earlier and took some coaxing!

couldnt believe how grubby the banister was, its varnished wood so doesnt show the marks till you decide to start cleaning it then you realise how bad it is/was. going to quickly wipe the landing doors and skirting down then get the oven going.

have foldeed all towels, dysoned stairs landing and all bedrooms, washed up, brought almost dry washing in when rain restarted and had a couple of phone calls.

Phew. It took me 40 minutes to clean the bathroom! It was minging :(. I have removed all bar 1 shampoo and shower gel as I have lots of mouldy spots all round the tray :(. If I find any more wet cloths or bowls of manky water lying around, I may well scream .

Had a bit of a pants paid stuff day :( I know they will just tell me I need to up my hours. But then they will pile more work on - not let me have the extra time to cope with my already surplus. DD is only 3, she's too young for full time childcare :(

I'm a bit behind on laundry so I've collected towels etc but I've got bedding in the WM just now.
Tonight I'm going to colour my hair (will do eyebrows and nails whilst waiting ;)), write some birthday cards and take the suitcases downstairs. I shall aim to have my hand luggage organised (minus kiddie snacks) and organise food for tomorrow.

Tomorrow I need to fill the car up, and ask the neighbour to put our bin out next week...

Well done all those flying hard.

Mrs MP hope your DS enjoys catching up with his bestie.

Bossy - don't do it, you work hard already

Mr L done and most of it put away
Helped DS1 open another bank account, he has also paid cricket subs and sent of CRB form
Helped DS2 open another bank account and choose where to move his ISA to plus register for postal voting

So much paperwork still to do but if I can get a few bits done each day I should end up more on top of it.
