I've had a quick read through of Fred, but much has gone in one eye and out t'other so apologies in advance :o Hugs to the poorlies and plenty of tissues for those who are snotting.

Almost went out shopping for a new swimming costume after dropping DS2 at school but couldn't be bothered with doing the umbrella hokey cokey so I came straight home -- good job I did as I remembered I'd arranged a parcel redelivery for today.

Got stuck into the kitchen to make sure I didn't miss the doorbell, it has had it's usual Monday morning blitz: Big table folded and away, floor swept, surfaces and sink disinfected, soda crystals sloshed, mop chucked around. I really, REALLY need to clean my oven but I don't think I CanBA with it today :o I was just wiping the breakfast bar when the buzzer went, parcel arrived.

    Next:

Monday ~ Stairs, Landing & Bathrooms
    15 minutes...

    Mop/vacuum/sweep floors
    30 minutes to spare...
Clean the bath, basins, shower trays and loo's
    Wipe the window legdes
    Got an hour...
Wipe all the paintwork in the hall
    Shine the mirrors
    Extras
    Empty and wash out bins
Sort out your nail polish and paint your toenails

    HHI
    WM x1
Tidy our room and the boys floor
    Vacuum lounge and bedrooms

If it's gone, its unnecessary. I vacuumed yesterday, DH was watching me and piped up, "You can actually see the carpets getting cleaner!".

    ....

Is that not the general idea?! :rotfl:

ETA Dusty, forgive my ignorance but what is OSD? xx

    I'm in this week.

Really need to get this house sorted out. It's a tip!

Can't do any washing until Thursday as WM has stopped working and the earliest engineer can get here is Thursday. Thankfully 3 DDs are off school now for Easter so no uniforms to wash. Washed a load of underwear and socks by hand last nights so that's at least one less thing to worry about.

Also need a kick to get down to the gym this pm when DH wakes up (he works nights).

Right. I'm off to do the bathroom while children are quiet :).

  • Downstairs loo is done and presentable just in case any handsome fireman want to come in to use the loo (adverts do not portray real life.....this has never happened to me yet!)

Bought some DW tablets yesterday and now DW has stopped working ....typical, so all last nights things need to be unloaded and WUDUPA by hand (my passionate hatred for WUDUPA stems from my pre financial services days when I was but a young whipper snapper working at my local Harv£st£r, a broken commercial sized DW on a Friday night which couldn't be fixed to Monday Morning, and you are on Friday night and double shift Saturday with a bunch of lazy blokes....I knew what the state of the plates would be if it was left to them:mad:)

Right quick brew, and then HHC on WUDUPA if anyone wants to join me at 12

That puts me in mind of drinking so much vodka/gin/cider/absinthe/whatever that you're hanging for the next three days; years later and even a sniff of that tipple makes you want to heave :rotfl: Sending commiserations and GWS vibes for the DW

I do this all the time :o Maybe one day we'll learn, eh?

Running to catch you up, skinty...

GP done, I was right, OSD (fizz Osgood Schlatter Disease) and got some cream for his arm which is reacting to pollen.

Orthodentist for DS3 in just over an hour so a little window for flying now with a cuppa. At least I'm getting all this done on the rainy day. Need to go to Mr L later too.

Let's put more effort in this week, I feel lots of us are coasting.

True; I have been. Shower room now sparkly, double bedroom zazzed and stairs and landings done up to the front door. I even dusted, and everyfink.

I'm making split pea and ham soup in the slow cooker for lunch and until that finishes cooking I'm going to play freezer tetris.

The plan is that this afternoon I'll nip over to the chalet and slap a bit of paint on the mouldy bits and patch the hole in the plaster above the triple bunk so that can be patch painted tomorrow so that can dry while I clean somewhere else.
    Better is good enough.
