I would like to try following you this week but may not do much. I have been resting for the past three weeks after overdoing the diy. I am returning to the doctor's tomorrow - the injured leg is no longer painful (still taking prescibed painkillers when it starts aching and to relax it when I cannot straighten it, but I am a long way from normal. I managed 3 x 15 minutes standing up and doing things on my most productive day last week.

So I will be asking the doctor what I should be doing (possibly asking for a physio referral) - don't want to overdo things but have not been to exercise class for 4 weeks and am worried about putting back the weight I have lost. Want/need to get going again - I am quite prepared to go back to resting as soon as my leg starts to bother me.

Will use the list as a starting point (am still half way through decorating the bathroom and the smallest bedroom - managed to sweep plaster, splinters and screws from bathroom floor and wipe bath and sink holding on with one hand and wiping with the other but felt like I had done a Jane Fonda workout after).

BABYSTEPS will be my guiding rule

:hello: one and all and thanks for the new thread.

Well - definitely going to try harder this week as didn't really get on with things last week and seem to have spent the whole weekend cooking - and then doing relevant WUDUPA, bag n freeze stuff and sort fridge and freezers.

Have work afternoons and evenings this week (except Friday) so will have to get up and get going in the mornings :rotfl:

Hello. I'm in :). I know it's not in keeping with the thread but I'm bringing over what I didn't manage from last week so that I can try to get up together with everything.
I'm on a night and have 2 more to do. I finish Wednesday morning and then go home to sleep. Kids have promised they will veg and watch tv for the morning. At 2pm I need to leave our house and drive up to my sister's to collect my nephew. He will then stay with us until his parents come down for Easter weekend. Bless him- hence the need to get cracking with the listies :)

ETA: also need to go outside and finish off the patio bits. This morning when I get home from work, [STRIKE]I will take my coffee outside and unscrew the hanging basket hangers so I have a bare wall[/STRIKE] unable to get off- DH has done 3, 3 left to do. Then I will knock off the loosest bits of paint work. I sent DH down to the shed in the day to see if we have any exterior paint and we do so I shall hunt out a brush and paint the wall at some point this holiday. I also want to paint the outside of the utility and may hang the hanging basket hooks on that wall so I can have pretties there too.
I also have to fit in 4x 5-10 repetitions of the exercises given to me by the physio. No idea where that'll happen!

    MFiT T2: Debt [STRIKE]£52856.59[/STRIKE] £6316.14 £46540.45 repaid 101.17% of £46000 target.
    2013 Target: completely clear my [STRIKE]£6316.14[/STRIKE] £0 mortgage debt. £6316.14 100% repaid.

Morning everyone, just shuffling in. I am part of the "suffering with a cold" gang and feel really hot, even though there is no heating on. Went to bed at 9pm last night and slept well so thats something. Have to do paid stuff at both jobs today so unless I feel an awful lot better this afternoon I wont be doing much flying.

Off to go and stand under the shower in the hope that it wakes me up a bit.
  • Morning all - I'm back and sort of in - well body but not head iykwim.

Need to get washer on to wash the clothes from weekend when DH shifts - he's off today so that may stymie my best intentions LOL!

Thanks for the lists Natty and Dusty and posi vibes, thoughts, get well wishes to anyone needing them and a "yay, you go girl - please share!" to Pigpen.

    Have a good day xx
