Hello all and good afternoon, i had the same probs at first with the login and accepting passwords etc,it would not at first accept my new changed password when logging in for the first time after the change prompt
When it didn't accept it I knew it was right so logged out ,did some other tasks then came back and re tried amazingly it worked ???
Must be something to do with how busy the systems are ?
Oh thanks chaotic_j we are all indeed worth more ,me and the wife were going through our joint pension benefits ,like the old wild west we are worth more dead than alive
Always been on a low income most of my working life,so when I retire wont make much difference ie nothing to lose

I got that as well, and got locked out of the account. However, clicking the "Forgot password" link gave me a new password that worked, and then allowed me to change the password back to what I thought it was in the first place. No problems since. No need to ring CS
That worked a treat. Thanks Gromitt :T0 -
Hi All,
I've just opened the Newcastle ISA and plan to make regular deposits but just had a question that isn't clear in the T&C's.
I have opened my account on the 27th and made an initial faster payment of £1250. I get paid at the end of the month and would like to make the most of this account and pay a further £1250 on the 2nd May and then on the 2nd of each month. The terms and conditions state:
"After placing your Investment in the Account you may make further Deposits. There is no limit to the number of Investments you can make in any one month; however the total value must not exceed £1,250 and the maximum ISA limit for the current tax year."
What I would like to know is whether this refers to a 'calendar' month or my 'monthly account anniversary'?
Thanks in advance for any help.0 -
Are you sure? I don't think it's clear. Only thing that is clear to me is that the bonus and the interest get calculated and paid on what they, somewhat wrongly, call 'monthly anniversary'0

I have just opened one today too and plan to call them tomorrow to ask about this. I am with Archi, it's not very clear...it says "any one month" and doesn't mention the anniversary month with regards to paying in.Thanks for the reply, I thought it might have been a bit cheeky trying to get extra interest at the start.0

I rang them last week and was told it's anniversary month for all.
Frank121: If you ring them tomorrow and find out any differently, please post on here.

This is something that's been puzzling me since I opened the 'non ISA' version last week.
Newcastle's Product Special Conditions are not clear on this point
I look forward to Frank121's response - preferably with a link to the definitive 'condition'.
I simply don't trust the responses given verbally by CS people (nothing to do with Newcastle BS - as many of them seem to make up their own version )0 -
I opened this account with an initial £1 investment, but I've just received my paperwork and it's all noting two £1 payments made into the account on the same day.
While I'm not complaining about some free money, it just seems very odd. I only have 1 payment removed from my bank account. Has this happened to anyone else?Sealed Pot Challenge #239
