i have in my possesion an asda.com load planner, containing a list of all the customers' names, addresses and telephone numbers for that delivery day, the driver must have given it to me with my invoice. I am waiting for the manager to call me back, what should I say, am really mad about this and if my details had been left at someone elses house I would have been furious. Should I expect them to offer me anything to "keep me sweet".
please noone reply with-it was an accident why do you expect to gain from it blah blah blah, like you did when my gran had that fall in morissons (she died by the way) if that is your opinion then keep it to yourself, I want some useful advice on what to say. thanks yp

I wouldn't expect much. I once had the same thing with Tescos and rang to tell them, was told the driver would come back and get it but he never did. I haven't heard a peep from them regarding the matter since... not that I was expecting anything other than a thank you for letting them know their mistake.:A:A:A:A:A:A0

And another case of someone made a mistake how much can i make.
No you don't expect them to offer you anything, but you want them to.
Not a thought of, oh the delivery lad will be mortified when he realised that he has done this.
Just another case of someone wanting to gain something out of some persons mistake.
It is hardly data, when the only information you have can be got through the phone book.0 -
You can contact the information commissioner and if they feel you have a case of breach of data protection act they will try and get Asda to change their practices to prevent it in future.
Not really compensation but it does then bring it to their attention how serious it could beworking on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?0 -

The information commissioner will do nothing of the sort. They won't do anything about anything.0 -
Bravo someone leading the fight against the misuse of sensitive personal data. But may I suggest that you widen the net somewhat and take your fight to other companies who are doing just as ASDA has.......... 118118.com 118192.com BT.com 192.com to name but a few.
Sorry but this site is a Godsend when it comes to shopping for bargains. However a post like the above just makes me realise how shallow and how just like the compensation stupid Americans we are getting.0 -
Your quite right it,s not good enough but all that will happen is the delivery guy will get his wrist slapped, and your next shop may not go as planned. Dont order anything uncovered for a while:T:jDabbler in all things moneysaving.Master of none:o
Well except mastered my mortgage 5 yrs early :T:j

Well said and echoed by most who read it I'm pretty sure. Sorry Yorkiepud but you're barking up the wrong tree and all you'll succeed in doing is getting the delivery guy a bollocking - which would be a shame as they are usually nice people. May I suggest that you simply give the list to him next time he calls and maybe he'll always give you a smile.
Now if the bank sends you a list of customer details and a/c nos with balances ............ you might get a reward for returning that.
PS Sorry about your Gran - I hope the undertakers got everything right0
