That is a tricky one. I had something similar - some money on a bar. The bar man asked me if it was mine. I was tempted to say yes but I couldn't lie and he took it away. I think you did the right thing but - I wonder if you could have enquired if anyone claimed it by the end of the evening and if not - you could have kept it?!?

Good afternoon all, still no finds since last week for me but I thought I would post a little story and hopefully put a smile on your face.

I'm away at the moment and my hubby is at home. He rang me this morning to tell me....
On the way to work this morning he suddenly kicked something, he looked down to find a £1 coin, his little heart leapt. Then he spotted another one and then a 10p coin. He couldn't believe his eyes. He bent down and picked them up. He was amazed that they were still warm- so he thought to himself that they couldn't have been there long. With a big smile he popped them into his designated road kill pocket. A few seconds later, he put his hand into his other pocket and realised that the money that he had just found was his. DOH! The reason it was still warm was because it had come out of his pocket!!!! My poor hubby. ( mind you I did laugh when he told me).:rotfl:

MM well done on 61p, I wish there hadn't been anyone at the bar when I found that £20.00 on Saturday night :0(

I found a very scratched 20p on Saturday while walking the dog with the kids. Doing well this month and only just halfway.

I keep finding loose pennies etc discarded in work as I'm tidying up and you can tell that people are just not bothering picking them up as they don't think they are worth keeping but I love finding them!

Just amazed how many people chuck them-every little helps!

Well done savvy cash, still can't get over folk throwing money away, shakes head in disbelief!

I'm off on holiday on Saturday for a week, here's to lots of exotic road kill euros!!

6p found over the weekend for me. Nothing much since then as the kids are still off school, may take a walk around the park to see if they've discarded their pennies there instead :rotfl:
