However the photo ready primer and eye primer are fab, the packaging on the primer's a bit stupid (you get a lot of dry bits from the pump) but otherwise it's great.

Do you remember that fibre lash stuff that was about £35? I was sent that to test by Boots, horrid stuff, the fibres were like little feathers that got in your eyes - eurgh!

    morning all

confession time, bought 3 (yes 3) cleansers yesterday - i am on my last one so needed another but not sure that justifies buying 3:o
    INs
    2x Aveeno cleansing lotion
1 Anew ultimate age repair cream cleanser

gave DD2 another washed out lush pot to add to her trade in collection.
    SPC~12 ot 124

In a world that has decided that it's going to lose its mind, be more kind my friend, try to Be More Kind
  • I went into lush for the first time ever 2 weeks ago and came out with 2 pots and 3 samples, 2 samples were foundation additives, i've been using the oil based cleanser and the moisturizer for around 5 days now and my skin is breaking out, my nose is peeling and my forehead has more spots than when i had a fringe! I really wanted to love them but clearly they don't agree with me, like s+g the product puts me on edge, i'm constantly worried it'll go off and get mouldy/lumpy so i think ill stick to body wash/scrubs from them bought by others on special occasions.

    As for mascara
My mum's using Eyko and says it's great stuff but i've not used it, i love the rimmel lash accelerator but it doesn't give the 'doll eye' look people seem to want from a mascara so i'd recommend givinchy phenomen'eyes or l'oreal's telescopic explosion, i've used both and love them but as my lashes are already quite long i find with the givinchy it makes them so long it tickles my eye lids

I've bought the mua palettes as gifts for my friends daughter and the nieces. They are good for the money but I don't think a patch on urban decay. But then I don't think any other brand is a patch on urban decay.

I wouldn't trade my naked but I would consider getting a dup for naked 2 and 3 because I don't like the colours so much and urban decay is expensive.

My friend has naked 3 and it looks amazing on her but pinky tones aren't so good on me.

Lots of posts on the Urban Decay Naked palettes.

There is a new make up range on the block that has dupes for all 3 Naked palettes, they are called the Iconic palettes and they are only £4.

A blogger has done comparison swatches here for Naked 3 and Iconic 3 and I think they are pretty good dupes.

I already have all 3 Naked palettes :o and MUA 1 & 2 so won't be buying, but they do look pretty good...

Kadison - I love Benefit They're Real. It is very wet but dries quickly and I have no problems at all with sticky lashes. I can't see how someone can sell it so cheap on ebay and it be genuine.

I didn't like They're Real either, found it very gloopy and hard to remove. Got mine free with Glamour mag so was genuine.

No UU today (so far) but I'm making a conscious effort to try and use things.

I never bothered too much with foundation and stuff for years after having the kids, but that didn't stop me buying it all the time :p. I've found one I love, it's a '17' one true match or something similar, it looks real scary when it comes out the tube VERY brown but goes on lovely and feels like a primer so negates the need for one. Bet they don't do it any more :/

Today I've used MUA BB cream as I'm just having an about-the-house day with it being the first day of Easter hols. I hate it, I'm light anyway, but this makes me even lighter and doesn't blend in well at all....will still keep using it though :rotfl: too 'stingy' to do anything else with it, haha!

I kind of feel like I'd like to write a beauty blog but it may make me even more of a shopaholic, to avoid that, anything I'd be blogging about wouldn't necessarily be new out products (and sometimes discontinued ones, haha) so I'd best not get on that roundabout!

I think I'm going to do a PP list of sorts (a lot of things I don't like using 'to the end' in one go, so no point!) I will have a think about this

They said it was bought from export suppliers so may vary in the packaging, looking at the blogs it's the same as the US packaging. Just because it's cheap doesn't mean it's fake, during the No7 voucher glitches I was selling stuff at far lower prices than anyone else yet they were all genuine.

I tried my Elizabeth Arden Ceramide Mascara last night to compare and that was tonnes better, I got this in a cheapie set around Christmas time so I'm very pleased!
