I don't suppose you have any nights out planned in the next 2 months?

would really like some feedback on the staying power of the nyx palette but want it for my wedding day so except for a top up around 5pm i don't want to have to rework my shadow and so far the palettes i have aren't lasting under the heat and length of a normal day

It's going to be my travel palette and I'm away over the May bank holiday weekend so hopefully can give you a good indication of how well it lasts then. I'll be staying with friends going out to london during the day and out at night too so that should give it a good work out.

Does urban decay not last for you. If I stick any of my urban decay eyeshadows on over their primer they would last me all day.

I looked at the beauty bay palettes actually but wanted something a bit smaller for travel.
  • Recently bought a dupe of UD Naked for DD22 (before no toiletries challenge!) It's the MUA undressed palette, as recommended here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eNpi4UaS6XE Just in case anyone wants a cheaper alternative.

    2 UU's to report...

Dove hair treatment (mini) lovely thick stuff, smelt nice but since it was a mini I was not using it long enough to notice any obvious difference.

Argan Oil conditioner. Using up DD19's leftovers. Nice stuff but I have others I prefer.
No buying unnecessary toiletries 2014. Epiphany on 4/4/14 - went into shop to buy 2 items, walked out with 17!

Hello all, can I ask a question to all those who use Benefit's They're Real Mascara? How are you meant to apply it? I applied it like a normal mascara and it pretty much stuck my upper and lower lashes together, so much so that I daren't have closed my eyes properly!

Kadison - you poor thing, what a nightmare. The language of people on buses is appalling, the bus should stop and they should be removed then maybe people would get the message that bad language in public is not acceptable

I thought the same, but perhaps bus drivers don't have that power, and it's subjective what one person considers acceptable and another doesn't, they'd probably get a lot of 'freedom of speech' stuff thrown at them as well

Wish the Boots local to work had that kind of Clearance shelf. I went in today and although I was chuffed to find a bottle of OPI nail Envy Sensitive and Peeling on there for £9.99 the rest of the items comprised of condoms, deodorant and toothpaste! Not sure what that says about the area i work in! Bought 3 x tubes of Sensodyne which went through as 3 for 2 too.

This wasn't Bristol Eastgate was it? They had the same! :rotfl:

Oh yes just for insurance! When you're on £3.60 an hour it sure feels like a lot:eek: that and the added joy of taking 45 minutes to get out of the multi storey because of the mad rush at 5pm. Can you tell I'm not enjoying my job??:rotfl:

What car is insured for £3K? Are you very young or a new driver?

If you have any soaps/bubble baths/shower gels/shampoos you want to get rid of then you could take a selection with you and offer them to smelly strangers on the bus. You will either reduce your stash or end up in a and e - it could be interesting either way!

    Well yes  :rotfl:
Avon foot works – Cherry lotion, WNBA, watery and too strong a smell

I'm beginning to realize how lacking a lot of Avon products are

Unfortunately a lot of them are cheap for a reason, the colours printed in the catalogue make-up wise are also rarely anything like you actually get, and I don't know why they have perfume samples printed in the brochure, they all smell of paper!

  • Agreed Kadison, i'm begining to learn that buying a little less product for a little more money can work wonders, avon is great for things i don't use too often like hair serum and roll ons or as stocking fillers but as i'm getting older i need to start taking a little more care with my skin for the long run :)

I've been playing with my new toy of the Scholl Velvet Smooth Pedi Electric Hard Skin Remover and I must say I am really, really impressed.
This is a new improved model with the file drum spinning freely and accessible at all angles.
The product and my thoughts on it - I've just posted my review - are here

The previous model had to be used on damp, moist skin. This one is recommended for use on dry skin. This makes it a lot more useful. I found I often forgot to use the previous model after I'd had my foot soak, but this one can be used before it. I do like it.

  • I've bought the mua palettes as gifts for my friends daughter and the nieces. They are good for the money but I don't think a patch on urban decay. But then I don't think any other brand is a patch on urban decay.

I wouldn't trade my naked but I would consider getting a dup for naked 2 and 3 because I don't like the colours so much and urban decay is expensive.

My friend has naked 3 and it looks amazing on her but pinky tones aren't so good on me.

Never mind, I've now thrown this away in sheer disgust! Glad I only wasted £7.75 on it on ebay not the ridiculous £19, cannot understand how Benefit get away with charging so much for this or even selling it at all!!

  • Are you sure it wasn't fake there are so many fakes on ebay.
Mind you I used bad lash a few years ago and thought it was dire

I had the same experience, it gave me big thick clumpy spider leg eyelashes that were tacky for ages and when they did dry they went so stiff they were pulled out when I tried to wash it off because of the clumps, thankfully I got a 3G freebie from an online order, I'll stick to maybelline or no7

It came in the real box and in the real packaging, with the correct wand from a highly rated seller, I don't have any reason to think it was fake.....

TBH I had BadGal Blue and I liked it, but it's the only Benefit product I have had and liked, I was impressed that the blue was visible even on my dark lashes.

I don't like No7 mascaras, mind you it's been ages since I tried them so maybe they've got better, personally I'm a Lancome girl but I find Boots 17 are fab as well, along with the trusty green and pink Maybelline one!
