MSE took the safe and easy, but wrong, decision when it decided to delete these posts - though I accept that it's easier to say that with the benefit of hindsight.
I can see no reason (provided they're not libellous) why they shouldn't be reinstated, and the time to do that would be at the evidence gathering stage (ie now) before any charges, if any, are made.
Mods - how about reviewing the deleted posts and putting them back?0 -
Subsequent to a seminar I had 3 properties put in trust with Universal about 6 years ago. After 3 years I had one of the properties removed from the Trust and put into joint names so I could sell it. This was all carried out without any problems by Universal. Only recently I found that I could not contact them on any tel nos and that they had become insolvent. I guess the only option is for a solicitor to get the trustees changed or get the properties taken out of Trust. The only issue I had with Universal up until now was that they were apparently expensive and of course I am not sure if there was any value in their scheme. Also I wonder if there is any claim possible against Universal for miss-selling and inflated fees. I would appreciate any comments on the above.0

I think you need to read the thread - probably the last three pages or so will give you enough information.0 -

Though many, many other firms of solicitors are available of course throughout the UK.
Make sure you know exactly what they’ll achieve for you and the likely cost before you agree that they should act for you and ensure that they are actually solicitors.0 -
Indeed Doc N there are many law firms available and the choice is open to each person, however Kleyman's may offer some additional benefits should you wish to contact them. They are regulated by the law society and I have carried out my due diligence something every person should consider doing for their own peace of mind.0

All solicitors are regulated by the law society: they could not practice otherwise.
Do you have any particular reason for promoting this firm?0 -
Hello Voyager,
This firm have received a lot of enquiries from clients of universal and have carried out a lot of research that others may find insightful. They have also taken conversations with the Longs in recent months in terms of gathering information. Should anyone wish to speak with Kleyman's I'm sure they will be able to offer more info.
I hope this helps everyone involved.0 -

All solicitors and law firms in England and Wales are regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority:

The Law Society exists "to represent, promote and support all solicitors, so they in turn can help their clients."
There are a couple of firms of solicitors referred to in this thread (one with MSE permission to post). What 'additional benefits' do Kleyman and Co offer over and above other firms? All are equally regulated.0
