Pulled out the new WM last night as it occurred to me that I hadn't seen the installers remove the transportation bolts, only to find a puddle underneath it  Seems they've dislodged the waste pipe a bit and it was dripping, I've fixed it now. Should've saved myself twenty five quid and fitted it myself!
Breakfast dishes WUDUPA, DS1 and DH waved off, DS2 sulking in the kitchen. Off to the paid stuff for a few hours, another kitchen to scrub today, joy!

Mornnig
Fairy dust, I have mice on the odd occassion over the winter, I also have a cat, I clean the cupbaords / draws out with dettol or similar strong smelling, then I leave the doors open so if mice are about the cat (hopefully) can get in and get them! never see them (mice) again, but I don't think that is down to the cat, as he spends most of the night times asleep on the bed with us!! I always keep all open food / half bags of food in sealed tubs.
GUAG's should be home with you all now, so use wisely and have a little me time as well today

Morning ladies!
I'm in again please. I'll take it a bit easier today as I may have overdone it a little yesterday. I did quite a bit in the bedroom anyway so not too much to do today, plus I want to get several loads of washing out today before the rain sets in tomorrow.

Last week was a bit of a disaster & didn't really fly much so was planning to get back on track this week.
Yesterday afternoon I found that I have field mice squatting in my food cupboard    & so my kitchen is now immaculate & so is my tins! I went out and bought a heap of those Kilner jars to put dried stuff in but I also chucked out things like my pasta, icing sugar, pearl barley, etc that had been opened but folded over as I'm terrified that mouse lice would get in as well as urine _pale_. I found some more poo this morning in the cupboard  so bought one of those humane traps so I'm hoping that it catches them. I'm not sure why I'm so terrified of them as I was a veterinary nurse for years & have held snakes, rats, lizards, gerbils, a tarantula etc that scare some people but the thought of mice in my house just sets me on edge!! As for the cat, well he is bl00dy useless, the scent of a cat is supposed to send them on to another house not entice them in!!
Has anyone else had this problem? I'm terrified of opening the cupboard in case they come running out at me lol.
Hopefully by the end of this week my house will be immaculate & mouse free?
Hugs to those that need them xx
I feel your pain - I am totally paranoid about mice in the house. Two years ago I had one scampering around (upstairs and downstairs) for several days before OH finally caught it by hand!!!!!!! ~~shudder~~ This was despite having put down about 16 traps and sonic devices. I was seriously thinking I would have to go and wander around the 24-hr Tesco as I was too scared to go to bed!!!!0 -
Hi everyone,
Sorry to hear about the mice! They are cute but a nuisance. You don't want your cat to get them, trust me, they don't clean up after themselves...
I probably won't get much done today as am only home for 45 mins between work and kung fu and have to make dinner in that time but I will try
