    Dove claim the smaller one lasts as long as the larger one, thats my complaint

    It's because it's the spray propellent that is bad for the environment.

    That's an over simplistic view. Harmful propellants (CFCs) were taken out of aerosols quite some time ago.

    The cans are aluminium; smaller can means less raw materials are used in their production, also the outers (boxes) will be smaller, meaning more can be carried; thus reducing transport costs and the carbon footprint.

    That's the theory anyway.

    Completely agree, these new small compressed cans do not last as long as the large cans.
    My own test had the older 250ml can last 4 weeks of continuous use. The smaller style 125ml can only lasted 3 weeks.

    Same price and less usable product = price increase to the consumer and probably more margin for Unilever.

    I'm going to email Unilever and see what their response is.

    Good luck with that, I tried twice and got similar responses telling me that both cans will last the same amount of time, but they clearly dont
