Went in Farm Foods yesterday,I like their 750g bags of king prawns, found out they don't do them anymore but they now have the same king prawns but in 250g packets 3 for £10,the 750g was £7:85 so £1:15 more for the same weight. No reason for me to go back now so they have lost a customer.

£2.15 more even less reason :rotfl:

Since they stopped the online prices comparisons are even more difficult so less reason to make a special trip.

Heron had packets of giant noodles, Golden Wonder branded.
    39p.
I guessed these would be like the traditional Chinese noodles, but microwaveable, with flavouring.
Right on both counts, and a great quick addition to today's stir-fry.

I'm not sure if this promotion is nationwide or not, but my local Farmfoods are currently selling the 1kg bags of Tate & Lyle Sugar for 39p, the cheapest that I've seen to date, is at Poundstretcher for 49p.

There have been quite a few premium yogurts and desserts at bargain prices in Heron recently:
Rachel's Organic Divine Vanilla Pot x2 price on offer Waitrose £1.32, Heron 75p.
Muller Bliss Whipped Greek Yogurt think it's 4 for £1.20, next cheapest is £1.50 in Asda.
Rolo pots x 2 75p, also After Eight.

Also spotted: Actimel drinks 8 for 99p
    Short coded I Can't Believe It's Not Butter Light 400g 2 for £1, 69p.
New variety of coating on the XSell £1.50 500g battered fish - multiseed. This following on from the Southern Fried version the other week.
Cumberland Sausages 450g for 89p (frozen).
Emmenthal Cheese 89p (think it was 100g. It was lovely, anyway)

It was on the end of the aisle.

Pataks 8 pack of ready to eat Pappadums 29p, (large not mini). Priced at £1.99 in Tesco.
  • In Herons yesterday I bought a 200g jar of Douwe Egberts classic roast coffee for £2.99, I don't think they usually sell it & the classic was the only type available. It was on the shelf next to their own brand of gold roast coffee, not with the usual offers near the entrance.

Thanks for that, Heron sold it years ago, I built up quite a collection of Douwe Egberts storage jars as a result.
    Good to see it back.

Heron have a new email newsletter and are offering £25 in Heron Foods shopping vouchers in a daily draw through September to people signing up for it:

Thanks PinkTiger, I called in and bought a jar, as I also use the jars when finished, for my dried herbs. On the way out, I popped in a box of the 6 pack of mini Cornettos priced at £1.00, consisting of; 2 strawberry, 2 Stracciatella and 2 hazelnut.
