Maybe you don't care but I'm guessing most people care more about what is enforced on board than what is written on their website. I'm simply telling you what I've personally experienced, no need to get your knickers in a knot over it, it's hardly that important.0 -

It's not "what is written on their website", it's official policy. Much more reliable than your experience on a couple of flights out of something like 5000.
You weren't "simply telling me what you've experienced" - you claimed that was Easyjet policy. It's not - period.0 -
I never said anything about official policies, I said they don't allow the use of electronic devices during take-off and landing which they didn't on my flight last week. Of course, you're right that it could have been a crew not up-to-date on the rules (as I granted above). As I said, I'll check again on Friday and maybe ask a FA about it if I get the chance.0

My wife flew easyjet to and from Moscow for the first time last September (the fact it was £60 return as opposed to £400 return made this a very easy choice, no pun intended).
She much preferred EJ, she was able to buy food she was more likely to eat on the flight, although very expensive, prices inflated about 5 times what the would be in a supermarket.
I have found it does not matter what network you use if you complain they are all flipping useless and BA is among the worst.I started with nothing and I am proud to say I still have most of it left.0 -

I don't mean to be pedantic but that is categorically not what you said. I said Easyjet allow you to use electronics and landing and you said, quote, "not during take-off and landing though". Very different to your later posts where you then clarify that you meant only on the couple of flights you were on as opposed to the entire network.
And amazingly you are still doubting it! There is zero need to "check" with cabin crew - unless they get it wrong again and you want to try and convince them to let you use it (not that they're likely to relent). The website says you can. The media says you can. Easyjet press releases say you can.0 -
Well Callum9999 maybe they should ensure the cabin crew know about the policy. I flew MAN-GVA this am (on a UK based plane) and crew denied all knowledge of the new policy - even to the point of re-iterating that whilst other airlines may allow it they do not.
Great policy

So exactly as I said in my previous post. To quote: "I never said anything about official policies, I said they don't allow the use of electronic devices during take-off and landing".
I am not doubting what it says on their website, I am doubting whether the policy is enforced on board. It isn't, based on my personal experience. Again, as you pointed out, this could be due to an ill-informed crew, I'll be happy to grant that. But if it routinely isn't enforced on board, it's not going to matter much what it says on their website.0 -

Thanks, good to know I wasn't imaging things on my flight

It is up to the Captain, at the end of the day, if they will allow them to be used on board. Easyjet or no one else can force a captain to do something he is not comfortable with. He is in charge of the plane, he writes the rules.
Love to see you trying to argue with one of them, saying it's on your website ! Cue the Police at the other end ! lol
Stop getting in a huff, trying to catch people out. The only thing worse than that is the spell checker brigade, that frequent this site.0 -

The golden rule of flying is never get arsey with the cabin crew. Just smile and do as you are told. They have the power to make your life very complicated and the last thing you need is to end up on a no fly list.0
