British Airways or Easyjet?

I've had experience of flying with both. If I had the choice I would fly with Easyjet. Their flight times usually suit me better, and I've never had a delayed flight with them - I have been delayed several times with BA0

Interesting comments. thanks0

Check the legroom on board as well, if you can work out which plane on BA you will get. Easyjet are very tight spacewise.
https://www.seatguru.com will help here.

I would pay a small premium for BA but then I also have BA status so can use the lounge and collect avios. Even still, if easyjet are significantly cheaper I'd fly with them over BA on a short flight to Nice.
Not a fan of Gatwick at all so BA's LHR to NCE would also be something that I looked at.0 -
Make a dummybooking on each airline's website would be my advice. Then you'll know exactly how much you'd be paying. Don't trust what Skyscanner tells you. BA now offers handluggage only fares so checked luggage is not automatically included.
Skyscanner doesn't lie, but it only shows the cheapest fares - so as you point out, for BA it'll show the "hand baggage only" pricing if that's available for the route in question.0 -
I've commuted to Belfast from London with Easyjet for several years (traveling at least once a month with them). They are easily the most reliable and comfortable budget airline experience.
That said, I flew with BA to Athens in January and forgot how nice it was to fly with a non budget airline. Free drinks and food and it is one of the few airlines that have recently introduced being able to use electronics with the flight safe mode enabled on take off and landing (I'm easily pleased).
I would say it depends on the overall total cost and length of the flight. I would happily pay 20% more for BA for the difference in quality. As somebody who constantly trawls the internet for the cheapest flights possible that is a bold statement!0 -

Numerous airlines allow you to use your electronics - including Ryanair and Easyjet.
Gatwick to Nice is such a short flight you won't get much onboard service either. You'll probably get half a wrap and a drink or two. On my Heathrow to Amsterdam flight I got 5 crisps and a half a can of Sprite. Though as the last 6 rows got nothing whatsoever I should count myself lucky!0 -

Not during take-off and landing though which is what the other mentioned. Doubt it's a deal-breaker for anyone but I do enjoy being able to listen to my MP3-player when flying BA.0 -

Yes they do...
If I wasn't talking about take off I wouldn't have said "numerous airlines" - I'm not aware of a single one that bans electronics for the whole flight.0 -
Family of 4 with 2 suitcases. Thanks for your help. Just to clarify Going for 10 days taking 2 suitcases and one handbag on plane. Do we have to pay the £29?
Madness to not use your free hand luggage entitlement but pay for luggage! Fit the 2 suitcases' worth of stuff into 4 cabin sized bags!Trying to be a man is a waste of a woman0
