Do you mean get a copy of the sheet they fill out at the health check? And where do you send it?
Thanks!!0 -

Yes, if it's LA Fitness they should give you a copy anyway - it's got your heart rate/BMI/Body Fat % etc etc on it, and I guessed that this counted as the 'Fitness Assessment' mentioned in my PruHealth member pack. So I sent it off and voila! They added the points
You have to fax it to an 0800 number but I don't have the number to hand - it's in your PruHealth membership booklet (if/when you get it), and it may well also be online. I put a cover sheet on it as well with my membership ID, asking them to add the points....
Hope that helps.0 -
Re missing visits, Pruhealth are very good with this in my experience. I have been using other Virgin Active gyms other than my designated one as it is being refurbished. These other gyms can't swipe me in as I am not registered there. However when I call Pruhealth to let them know about all my extra visits, they show on my login area within a couple of days. I think about half of my visits so far have actually been added manually! If I had a pound for every time I didn't play the lottery...0

Hi, what do they do in this health check? how long did it take?
do u have to go on the tredmill and they observe, or is it all just measurements and weighing?
thanks0 -
MrChips - that's good to know, thanks. I'm not sure how long to leave it before I phone them up though! My earliest unrecorded visit is from the 4th September and nothing from then on has shown up yet - do you think I should call them or leave it longer?
adamt - No they didn't put me through any paces, it was literally just measurements using their equipment and it took about 30 minutes for the whole thing. They combined it with setting up my workout programme, and gave me a copy of the sheet at the end. At LA Fitness they call it a '1 to 1'. I found it quite informative actually, and it gave me a good idea of what sort of things I need to work on....0 -
I would definitely call about the 4th September - my visits show online after 2 days at the most. I always call if it isn't showing after half a week! It sounds like the swipe didn't go through properly. If I had a pound for every time I didn't play the lottery...0

Wow - maybe I have left it too long! There were a lot of problems with my initial set up and my visit from the 30th August only showed up after 2 weeks though, so I was kind of going by that.
I'll speak to them and see what they say...0 -
Hi all,
I took the Pru health insurance together with the Holmes (now Virgin Active) membership offer. I was looking for both a private medical insurance and a gym, so it seemed like a win-win situation. My plan started in December last year and Pru were really helpful in getting all my gym details sorted prior to me receiving the gym membership card.
I think that I will be automatically transferred to the new gym system, as in the more you go the less you pay.... So I'll have to make a point of going regularly again to get the full benefit. However you don't actually have to do a workout every time you visit, why not have a coffee there (or just read a book or even just swipe in wash your hands and go again). It'll still count as a visit.
I have had issues with my vitality points not showing up for 2 months after I started going to the gym. Phoned Pru, told they would investigate and a couple of days later I got a phone call saying that my visits to the gym had been added and they apologised for the delay.
I haven’t had any other problems so far and on every occasion I phoned Pru, I felt them to be helpful……If only I’d known about the Quidco or Top Cashback service L…… Well that just shows how much of a newbie I am to this forum.Life without string would be chaos.0 -
I joined the pruhealth scheme in July and have been happy with it so far apart from a couple of points. I did the fitness assessment and the gym faxed of the details and told me I didn't have to do anything but the points still haven't showed up, the gym have refaxed it and still nothing so I'm going to phone and check. Secondly I didn't realise there was a place where you can check how many visits you need to make per quarter and I found it today and found I need to make 26 visits in less than 12 weeks, if I made 25 it would still be more than 2 per week so I don't understand plus I would've thought a quarter would be more than 12 weeks so it's good thing I checked. I've done 23 visits (although 2 haven't shown up yet as it was the last 2 days, it would've been more but I got married and went on honeymoon so I couldn't go for 3 weeks) so thankfully I only need to go 3 times before 30th sept but if I hadn't have checked then I wouldn't have got the discount so please check to make sure.0

Boots are offering half price premiums for pruhealth till the 27th. Boots always quoted cheeper than pruhealth proper. So does anyone know, are the prices boots quote before or after the half price? The price don't seem that much different than before0
