I had an accident last year and it's screwed up my shoulder and neck which means I went from doing Zumba twice a week to doing nothing. By the end of last year I'd put a stone on.
I took some tablets for nerve pain and they made big chunks of my hair fall out.
I'm on different tablets now which don't make my fair fall out yay, I've got quite a lot of regrowth though which sticks up so I've had my hair restyled and my parting moved to blend it in
My new tablets make my skin drier so I've changed my beauty regime and I've started doing slimming world. Been doing it for a week now but I'm going to stick to it I think I will have lost 2/3 lbs this week which isn't bad.
My tip for using cheaper eye palettes is make sure you use eye primer.0 -
Just dropping by quickly to ask if anyone has a self tan that they would recommend? I know I have mentioned before that I am reluctant to layer on loads of chemicals however I would like one for special occasions. My skin is very pale so something subtle would be great
A long time ago I used St Tropez and I loved it however something a bot more affordable would be great!

I doubt you are more pale than me not many people are.
I don't use any fake tan now I've embraced the paleness but the only one that didn't turn me orange was the avon one.0 -
Rummer, I like the St Moritz from B&M or Home Bargains - they do a light one which is great to give a touch of sun to pale skin, and is rather well priced too!2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

I'm very pale too and loved st moritz think mine was £3.99 in boots but you can get it from body care and other bargain shops. I always exfoliate first and apply it using a mitt. It's always a bit like Russian roulette when I tan.. I put it on at night and wonder what colour i will wake up. Luckily I've never had anything other than a subtle brown with st moritz no patchy wotsit!
Just waking up ready to crack on with some prep to go back to school tomorrow. I know I really shouldn't complain but the longer you're off the harder it is to go back to work! Exam seasons will be in full swing with stressed out kids so I must take extra care of myself to prevent burn out. Gym kit will be packed and out in car boot tonight, nails manicured and healthy packed lunch made. :A anyone got any nice bank holiday Monday plans?[STRIKE]7lbs to lose [/STRIKE]

Good Morning Everyone And a Belated Happy Easter.
Hello to all the newbies :hello:
Well it's been a busy week - sorting out dad's paperwork, keeping up with the renovation works, trying to spend more time with OH whilst I can.
Have felt a bit below par this weekend so trying to take it easy and rest a bit before next week's onslaught.
Teacher 2b - I can appreciate your "back to work" feeling. I'm not even working any more as such but I'm still overloaded with "work". Still I'm not complaining - it's self induced and it will pay off in the end. The beauty is of course I can go at my own pace and set my own goals etc.
This week I treated myself to a couple of scarves and a cheap every day watch. Spent the grand total of £10. Last of the big spenders me;).
Still haven't had my hair cut - it's getting really long. People are actually commenting on it and saying how nice it looks. I might persevere and see if I can grow it long enough to put it up, although I'm not very good at "up dos".
Can second the olive oil for a good conditioning treatment.
Time for a nice little pamper session.
I'm soooo worth it:rotfl:0 -

Week 1 weight loss was 3 1/2 lbs which I'm really happy with and the only thing I've really changed is eating less fatty crisps and sandwiches, and less cakes at work. Hopefully I'll have that stone back off in no time
Feel a bit weepy today. Have been trying to move my tablet dose up they are antidepressants but when taking at low dosages are for nerve pain and aren't meant to affect your mood at all but I find they really really do. They are better than the last set I was on at least I have my hair. I've been 2 months on one tablet a night and only tried to go to 1 1/4 but my body hates it. They don't even seem to make me happy which surely should be the bonus of taking the damn things they just seem to screw up my hormones.
Another (and sorry this is prob tmi) affect of taking long term pain meds is I get bad constipation. I got swapped to these tabs because on my other pain meds I was having crippling stomach cramp plus heavy bleeding when going to the loo as the constipation was so bad. On these I have constipation but not the heavy bleeding (again yay) but it makes it hard to feel good about myself because it sounds really silly but it's like I can feel the toxins inside myself.
I'd like to get back into sewing and crafts something else I've had to quit because of the crappy neck and shoulder pain and be able to do something other than sleeping in my spare time.0
