How many properties did you view before buying?

It's such a drag going to viewings, there was a time when you can view several properties in one visit with the same agent but unfortunately my budget doesn't allow this.

I know it's a necessity and a 'how long is a piece of string' type question, but I'd like to know how many properties you viewed before you brought.

What I'm learning is EA's are starting to p me off, not getting back to me when they say they will, not being flexible enough with viewing times, not emailing me the details and expecting me to memorise it and lying about the length of lease!

we viewed about 14 in total in 3 different areas. Settled for the area closer to where we're already living as it felt 'right'.

    In what space of time?

    Was this not draining?

I've only viewed one so far this year (viewed before few years ago when my circumstances were different), got another one this weekend and already I've found it annoying.
  • Thanks for your answers so far. In what space of time did you do all these viewings too?

Think I viewed six, but three were outsiders at best; good area, but too small.

    You were lucky.

I know there's no hard & fast rule, but someone I know was advised to not buy the first one he viewed but he did as he fell in love with it. He's still living there some 15 years later.
