Aww thanks guys :) it was a very tasty cake if I say so myself lol, he had a fabulous day :) loved all his presents and dove straight into one of his new books :)

I am at work, overtime, the last one for the forseeable :(:(:( sad about that but also pleased that I will get my weekends back for a while lol

I have just had leftover domino's for my lunch (DS's birthday tea treat), can't wait till home time

It is OH's birthday on wednesday so I need to wrap his presents and write the card out

Having a very easy tea of bangers in mash tonight :) I am on the bus in the morning so have brought in extra sparkling water (I drink 2 litres a day at work), breakfast and coke zero (one can a day, I buy the 30 packs for £9 making them 30p each, as they sell them for £1.10 each at work!) today so I don't have to carry it on the bus

I hope everyone is having a nice weekend xx

    Thank you :)

    How is everyone doing?

Last day of work for the week woo hoo, I just had a lovely lunch and now I am ready for a nap lol

Both the kids need new clothes, they have shot up! I have a slot in the next sale for thursday, so I previewed it last night for DD and wrote down some things I want, and will do the same for DS tonight, it's how I get most their clothes lol

It's OH's birthday today, so he opened his presents this morning, no special tea as we are out of "eating out" funds lol

Not much else to report at the min

Have a good day all xx

Hi K, hope all is well with you and yours :)

I am also clothes buying at the moment for DS although he's actually in small men's sizes now and sometimes even a medium. It's those blooming broad shoulders of his

I've never heard of a slot for shopping - is it what it sounds like, a time that you're given to turn up or is it an online thing?

Enjoy your days off and hope your OH has a good birthday xx

Aww bless him, thankfully I don’t have to deal with that yet, DS just turned 9 and he’s in age 11 clothes with size 4 feet lol!

It’s the Next VIP sale, it starts on Saturday but they give out slots for online access to their sale to some of their customers. So once my slot goes live I can buy from the sale whereas public have to wait till Saturday xx

LOL I wish I had VIP money :rotfl:

The sale was very successful :) some of the things I ordered have arrived today so I will get the kids to try them on tonight, then on thursday/friday I need to go through their wardrobes/drawers and remove the clothes that no longer fit and give them to charity

I have a day off work today woo hoo, Asda came today so I have put at that away, done a wash and put the clean clothes away, I have a chicken cooking which is for burrito's for tea, and for lunches tomorrow and wednesday

Then I plan on catching up on tv and finishing a blanket I am making for DD, DS has asked for one too but I am going to try doing his in a waffle stitch which I have never done but it looks lovely

If it works out well, then I plan on using all my baby yarn I got from aldi (I went a little crazy and bought loads it is like £4 for 4 balls so I got carried away last year lol) and making pram blankets to give away to the clothing scheme for their nursery department

I hope everyone has a nice day xx

Hi K, glad you managed to get what you wanted for the DC's. Getting mine to try things on was a nightmare. They hated it and then would wriggle around so I couldn't really see if things fitted properly or not. :o They weren't babies either, I'm talking higher end primary

What a lovely thing to do for the nursery. Most of my makes are sent to charity as well.

Have a lovely day off. We have blue sky and sunshine here but it's a bit nippy. xx

Managed to get them to try them on last night, was shocked though that the age 7 clothes I got for DD already fit nicely (she's 5! nearly 6) I thought they would be a bit bigger on her, but I will be keeping them cos they look lovely :)

Sending back the jeans for DS, they fit his waist but they are too tight on his calves, he hates the skinny type jeans, so I do struggle at the min finding him some lol, he asked for smart shirts bless him, so managed to get him a couple of those.

The rest of the stuff is mainly coming on thursday (with the odd thing coming end of april!!)

It seems like a good thing to do, I love making hats and blankets, so may as well give them to someone who needs them :)

Snowed under at work, but I am only here today and tomorrow, I am looking forward to a weekend off, not looking forward to losing an hour on mothers day lol, but will be nice to be off, then I am at work next week, then off the week after for one of the easter hols weeks and it's also DDs birthday

have a nice day all xx
