Yeah it's really annoying, it didn't start till September last year but that was the first time it came on in years, so I am hoping it doesn't take till then to come back

Not too much planned today, the kids have swimming, I have shin splints in my left leg and they are killer, so a day of rest is in order

We are planning on having pancakes for tea, me and OH didn't get any on tuesday

Have a nice day all xx

    Morning everyone

    How are we all doing?

We are off to mam’s for a belated New Years dinner (it was delayed as my brother and sil’s adoption went through start of January and they advise to introduce new people slowly, so they’ve been staggering introductions) today at 2pm, my contribution is roast potatoes for 16 people eek (Mam requested it)

Not much else planned today really, going to chill till I have to crack on with them :) and we likely won’t get back till kids bedtime, need to bath the kids before we go (normally do it before teatime but we won’t be in)

Have a nice day all xx

Hi K, hope you all enjoy the roast dinner. Blimey 16 people, your Mum is a star hosting everybody, and also very wise if she's asked people to bring something with them :)

Lovely that your brother and SIL have been able to give a forever home to a child. xx

Thanks tea :) it's so lovely isn't it, she has bonded with them so well, and my nephew (he is 4), they are so cute together :)

Dinner was lovely, lots of nice food

I haven't done that much this week, I have shin splints and it is making my life hell! I ordered a compression sleeve which came yesterday and is helping, really annoyed cos I wall all geared up to smash my exercise this week, nevermind, once I am healed I will be back on it

It is DS's birthday on saturday, can't believe he is turning 9, I don't know where the time goes!! Need to go to card shop tomorrow to get birthday card, banners, ballons and I want a helium number 9 ballon as well, then I will be making his cake tomorrow, he has requested a vanilla sponge cake with white chocolate strawberry flavoured icing, chocolate fingers around the outside, and maltesers on the top :)

I have done our menu for the coming week:

Saturday - Dominoes (as requested by DS for his birthday)
    Sunday - Bangers, and mash
Monday - Chicken Jalfrezi and rice
    Tuesday - Chilli and rice
Wednesday - Fish, chips and peas
    Thursday - Beef Hotpot
    Friday - HM Pizza
    Saturday - Katsu Chicken Curry
    Sunday - Chicken Enchiladas

Have a nice day all :) xx

Aww I miss birthday parties where the DC's get excited about them :o Actually DD still gets giddy but I'm sure if we didn't tell DS it was his birthday he wouldn't know :rotfl:

The cake sounds delicious, he's obviously a young man of good taste :) If I don't get on here again, Happy Birthday to DS and I hope you all have a lovely day together. xx
